Would leave zero stars if I could! I have been paying Motonovo to finance a car on PCP since 2023. The car has had endless problems with it that has left me and my family stranded multiple times. I rely on my car as I have a child that is registered disabled but Motonovo do not deem this a matter of urgency. I have had problems with the car since September 2024 which has cost me thousands of pounds, including a broken turbo. The car has been off the road since May 2026 due to endless red light issues, and requested compensation and exchange for a new vehicle, but Motonovo have provided little to no communication despite my patience and understanding and doing everything they asked me to do, including an expensive independent assessment that cost me hundreds of pounds. After learning they don’t have a complaints department, I have no choice but to seek legal advice. Avoid if possible. Reviewed on: 23rd September 2026

Never ever I’ll recommend!

After 4 months still waiting to cancel my agreement , so i m still paying same thing what I don’t have , the worst experience ever and not finish yet with them…I contacted ombudsman hope i ll get sorted soon as this is given so much anxiety stress..the customer service every single day was telling me different stories , every single day… Reviewed on: 17th August 2026

Complaint upheld, but only after months of chasing.

Complaint upheld, but only after months of chasing. My complaint was ultimately upheld by MotoNovo, who accepted that the vehicle I purchased had been misdescribed. The finance agreement was unwound, my deposit was refunded, I received a refund of my finance payments (less a mileage deduction), statutory interest and compensation. Unfortunately, the way my complaint was handled was extremely disappointing. I repeatedly had to chase for updates, emails went unanswered, and agreed timescales were missed on multiple occasions. Even after MotoNovo agreed, through the Financial Ombudsman Service, to pay the outstanding interest and additional compensation, I still had to continue chasing because the payment was not made. The Financial Ombudsman Service had to intervene several times before MotoNovo finally honoured the settlement they had agreed to. Without that intervention, I have little confidence that the matter would have been resolved as it was. Whilst I appreciate that the complaint was eventually resolved, it took many months, unnecessary stress, and a significant amount of my own time to reach that outcome. I cannot fault the Financial Ombudsman Service, but based on my experience, I cannot recommend MotoNovo’s complaint handling. Reviewed on: 6th August 2026

MotoNovo took my cash deposit and added it back into the total amount payable. Then charged me interest on it. My own money — used to make me pay more. Secret commissions paid to brokers. Never disclosed. Look up Johnson v FirstRand Bank 2024 — the Supreme Court ruled this is unlawful. Check your agreement. Right now. Look at what your deposit actually did to your total. Then ask yourself where your money really went. They're counting on you never reading it. Reviewed on: 15th May 2026

Absolutely unacceptable experience.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. My complaint was formally upheld, and it was agreed that my finance agreement would be unwound and a refund issued within 7–10 working days once the vehicle was returned. The car has now been collected and returned to the dealer, and despite this, I have not received any of the refund I am owed. I have contacted my case handler multiple times by email and attempted to call using the extension provided, but have received no response whatsoever. I have now been left with no option but to escalate the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service. This level of communication and failure to implement an agreed resolution is extremely disappointing. I would expect a company of this size to honour its own commitments and keep customers informed throughout the process. Reviewed on: 30th March 2026

SHOCKING FINANCE COMPANY - Complicit in Selling Unsafe Vehicles Rating: (1 Star) Review: BEWARE: If you are considering using MotoNovo Finance, be warned that they will utterly abandon you if the car you buy has problems, even dangerous ones. I financed a car from Motorvana (Stockport) through MotoNovo. The vehicle had multiple critical defects from day one, including illegal tyres, a cracked alloy wheel, and failing safety systems. As the finance provider, MotoNovo is jointly liable under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 to help resolve these issues. Instead of helping, MotoNovo’s complaints process has been a masterclass in delay and obstruction. For over four months, they have: - Repeatedly ignored the severity of the safety-critical defects. - Delayed for weeks without even assigning a case handler. - Refused to authorise repairs or provide a like-for-like hire car, leaving me without safe transport. - Demanded unnecessary evidence after I had to pay for essential repairs myself (like replacing the illegal tyres) to try and avoid reimbursement. - Closed my complaint while the car remains unsafe, offering a derisory £250 gesture that doesn't even cover a fraction of my costs or distress. They have failed in their regulatory duty under the FCA's Consumer Duty (PRIN 2A) to avoid foreseeable harm and act in my best interests. Their inaction has made them complicit in the dealership's sale of an unroadworthy vehicle. Choosing MotoNovo Finance removes your most important legal protection. They are not on your side. They will side with the dealer and leave you stuck with a faulty car and mounting costs. I am now forced to escalate this to the Financial Ombudsman Service. Please learn from my experience and use a more reputable finance provider. Reviewed on: 27th August 2025
