Debit card

I've been with Barclays over 30 years, I recently had issues with fraudulent use of my debit card so went on my Barclays app to do online chat which was no use so I phoned them directly,I waited over 15 mins no answer, I finally had a return call following day saying they had cancelled my debit card and would send me a new one, it's been 5 days now still nothing, so back on to chat which is a big waste of time then back to a direct call which I was told I'd be waiting another 30 mins plus to speak to someone,I received a new debit card on my app tried to use it from my phone but doesn't work?? tried again to ring Barclays told me on the app 24/7 service but when rang number only covered stolen cards so a bit of a lie of Barclays, lm having to use my Capital one credit card until my debit arrives and hopefully will work ,for such a large established company I'd expect better from them , after this poor communication and Barclays app shambles I will seriously be looking for another bank ! Dreadful customer service

I have recently left Barclays after 31 years after my account was hacked and their customer service in handling this situation was dreadful. I spent 14 hours either in the branch or telephoning the bank to try and resolve. Reviewed on: 11th January 2020

Poor quality customer service

Not good customer service and not a good bank to use

Banked with them for over ten years, moved from them over a year ago as didn't like the service they provided. Reviewed on: 21st April 2016

Horrible

I had almost 20,000 stolen from my savings account. I don't know how on earth this has happened because for a reason I don't ever use that account. Until recently I was getting skint, having a newborn baby costs a lot and I needed to pay rent, bills and food. This is not the first time it's happened either. My debit card got cloned just right about Christmas a couple of years ago. The security is not good at all. I can't trust this bank. Either bank. Merry Xmas. Reviewed on: 23rd December 2014
