Absolute scam artists!

Absolute scam artists!! Please do NOT take out E Bike insurance with this terrible company, my bike got stolen and they are not paying out due to the lock not being recognised by them, this was not straightforward in the Contract! Avoid these scam artists or your money will be gone , if your bike gets robbed they won't pay out !! Reviewed on: 17th December 2024

Disappointing

I needed to file a claim, and Bikmo took several weeks to start to process it, and then it send it to another company for further processing, which they say can take up to three days, but based on others experience, it can take a week or two. Apparently the other company often denies the claims, and therefore I am inclined to think that Bikmo is essentially a scam operation. Very disappointing. Reviewed on: 30th November 2024

AVOID - Can not be trusted

After having insurance with them for a couple of year, when my bike unfortunately got stolen they would not pay out because they were not willing to verify my lock. My lock was complaint with the policy, so unfortunately they mis-sold me the policy. If you want protection for your bike, so somewhere else. Avoid this company. Reviewed on: 2nd February 2024

Terrible customer service, pointless insurance policy underwritten by Hiscox who look for any loophole to get out of paying. Not at all happy with the claim rejection reasoning. Please do not waste your money on Bikmo. Reviewed on: 20th May 2022

Terrible attitude and pointless product

Terrible customer service, pointless insurance policy underwritten by Hiscox who look for any loophole to get out of paying. Don't waste your money insuring you bike with this dreadful company who will keep you waiting while processing your claim and then have a dreadful attitude to customers who have taken out the policy in good faith. I feel let down

Unfortunately Bikmo's claim handling was very poor. I had my bike stolen from a bike locker which I thought was insured. I sent all the details needed to make a claim. However my claim was rejected the first time because they said the locker was 'away from home', which it wasn't. Then the 2nd claim got rejected because the bike was not locked to an immovable object (it was locked within a secure immovable object instead). I told bikmo there was no option to lock the bike to an immovable object, but it took several emails and sarcastic comments from a supervisor no less such as 'we made the wording really basic so anyone can understand', implying I couldn't understand the basic wording. Yes my bike claim doesn't match the policy wording, but they could have been much clearer from the beginning and handled this better. I then asked for a refund on my insurance as I was obviously paying insurance on a scheme that didn't apply to me, but again the supervisor didn't even attempt to help and just flat out refused a refund. Would have been nice if he at least attempted to try and support the customer. I feel very let down. Reviewed on: 10th July 2020

MISS SELLING & FRAUD

Don't ever use this company. They take your money but when its time to pay out they say that you are not covered and to read the small print and refuse to pay out. So why take money off the customer for a policy that they don't cover. It's actually quite shocking they re still in business. It has to be illegal? I have now started proceedings against them. Save yourself the money and the hassle and do not use this company. They are truly awful and disgraceful. I never ever leave reviews anywhere. Have never received any correspondence apart from this . Soliciting for a rave review, once money was paid for cover nothing. Not even crap emails . Would not recommend or renew. Reviewed on: 11th July 2019
