Horrible experience!

Horrible experience! All good till we raised a claim. No communication from their side, just a general email sent once. I had to send documents and call every time as they were not able to see them until I got as questioning. They want all documents ever! Delaying me for months and closing my claim every time as they said they need more notes from my dentist. AVOIDE! Money paid on insurance till now would have paid my treatments without all this stress from their side Reviewed on: 14th January 2026

AVOID - go with other insurance companies

1st time having a dental insurance with Bupa, I have the maximum level of cover and pay £58 per month through work! So far, out of 3 claims, they asked the dental practice to write a letter specifying what tooth was extracted, the number of the tooth and some other details. This is acceptable to ask once but out of 3 claims, 2 of those times this has been requested. I guess this is their own way of avoiding having to pay. So now I have to go back to the doctor that i have a good professional relationship with and I'm very happy with her job to ask her to write letters every time i go there to do anything, she's a dentist not a secretary and this things shouldn't be asked all the time, but i guess INSURANCE COMPANIES WILL ALWAYS BE INSURANCE COMPANIES AND TRY TO AVOID PAYING AT ALL COSTS!!! Safe to say that based on my experience as soon as I can the insurance with BUPA will be canceled. Reviewed on: 9th August 2024

Amazing price and amazing service

Bupa is amazing for insurance and dental insurance. There is always an appointment when needed and everyone is kind and patient with nervous patients like me. I haven’t had any treatment yet but check ups are a breeze as they don’t rush me and let me decide the pace of the appointment Reviewed on: 13th February 2023

Their dentist missed something then...

I joined the Bupa scheme through work, I had a local Bupa dentist but the service was awful so went back to my original dentist. He found three fillings that he said were as a result of not visiting him through Covid. Alas Bupa won't cover the whole claim even though it is their dentists negligence that caused the problem.
