Slow and really not bothered

I asked to withdraw some of my savings - asked for on the Wednesday there was a bank holiday Monday but did not receive the money in my bank until the Tuesday, nearly a week to get my savings out! The explanation I was given it was to make customers think if they really needed their money out and the financial viability of the organisation - really?? This week was promised a faster payment on the telephone but was sent an email the next again day saying it wouldn't be done - due to staff training! I wasn't asking for a loan, I needed my own savings in a hurry! Sloooooooooowwwwww - not meeting customers needs who need their money imminently. Reviewed on: 23rd September 2022

Saving made easy

Have been a Credit Union member for a long time and it is such an easy way to save. Money comes straight off wages and into my account. The staff at CCU are always helpful and the CCU have been gradually improving their offering adding more online services including the excellent new app. Reviewed on: 3rd July 2021

Fantastic care, customer service, and support for its members

I've been saving as a member of Capital Credit Union for over 6 years now and have found them a fantastic Credit Union. They provide personal on hand support over the phone, are very responsive, offer great rates, and I'm glad to know my savings can help support others in Edinburgh who need to access their loans. They communicate regularly and encourage me to get involved as a member and have always provided helpful advice or answers to queries whenever needed Reviewed on: 3rd July 2021

Simple. Easy access

CCU is a very simple way to save because there is no pressure or sales for other products. If you want to save you can just save. There is also easy access to your savings and the fact that you can apply for a loan and not have to touch your savings and offset the repayments and incorporate it into your monthly savings (still save, albeit a bit less but also pay off your loan without having to pay anything more per month) is very helpful. Local & Reliable
