Simple. Easy access

CCU is a very simple way to save because there is no pressure or sales for other products. If you want to save you can just save. There is also easy access to your savings and the fact that you can apply for a loan and not have to touch your savings and offset the repayments and incorporate it into your monthly savings (still save, albeit a bit less but also pay off your loan without having to pay anything more per month) is very helpful.
