445% price increase for premium in 3 years

I’ve been very disappointed with Co-op Pet Insurance. My premiums have increased dramatically year after year, rising from around £25 per month to a renewal... I’ve been very disappointed with Co-op Pet Insurance. My premiums have increased dramatically year after year, rising from around £25 per month to a renewal quote of over £135 per month, more than 400% within three years. My dog did develop epilepsy but a friend of mine, whose dog also has epilepsy and is on the same treatment only saw his policy jump from £22 pm to £37 pm with Waggle. As someone with a pet that has a lifelong condition, switching insurers is not a realistic option. On top of this, claim payments can take a very long time, sometimes close to a month to be settled. I would not recommend them based on my experience. I imagine any good reviews are from people who never make a claim. Read more Read less

    I also get co-op travel insurance due to value of money. Easy to purchase online.

    Looking for any excuse not to pay out

    I have insured all my pets my entire adult life. I have never experience anything like this before. My dog fractured a tooth, Co-op have... I have insured all my pets my entire adult life. I have never experience anything like this before. My dog fractured a tooth, Co-op have emailed my veterinary practice 3 times to try to find a way not to pay the claim. They also have a disclaimer which states if the vet doesn't reply in 30 days, they will cancel the claim. Avoid Co-op pet insurance at all costs. If this continues I will report to the Ombudsman.     They never pay out

    They don’t pay out

    They refused to pay out on Travel insurance when I had to cancel a holiday due to serious illness when it was covered by the policy. They never pay out.

    The best sales staff ever

    At 83 years old l have had over55 years of insuring cars and l have never experienced such a good service from the sales staff.... At 83 years old l have had over55 years of insuring cars and l have never experienced such a good service from the sales staff. they were Caroline,Tracy,Denzil and the other man l have forgot his name.All these members of staff were so knowledgeable,polite and helpful.In fact they have restored my faith in the human race.To get 4 members of staff that were that good could not be a coincidence so l must presume that the majority of staff are similar,no one could be better than those 4 people.Well done all of you and to top it all l got a fantastic price far better than the company l had been with for many many years.
