Review of the Creditfix, Debt Management:

For your own best interest, please go elsewhere

2
I have removed a previous positive review I had left of CreditFix, that I left during the beginning of opening my (now completed) IVA. At the time, I had not recognised how much they use a friendly facade to prey on vulnerable people who are reaching out to try to better their situation and putting trust in them. In hindsight, I had not fully understood the extent of how much of the money I repaid my creditors would go to CreditFix, including during early completion, and I believe this was not explained to me properly on the phone after comparing it with the documentation I agreed to. I accept that naivety on my own part and that even in a very vulnerable and desperate position I should have been more vigilant in my efforts to review what I was agreeing in writing. When I looked to complete my IVA early, I found that CreditFix were very happy to dilly dally around setting up the meeting with my creditors, meaning I continued to pay another two months of repayments whilst waiting for them to arrange the meeting. Whilst this is not the end of the world and I would have been repaying those amounts anyway in the final payment, it was clear that me improving my situation was not their priority. Once my creditors agreed, CreditFix became much less interested in engaging with me - I had to email multiple times for a response and eventually raised a complaint as I was waiting to receive the information to make my final payment and was not being provided this, and was conscious my usual monthly payment date was fast approaching and had no communication on if I missed this payment whilst waiting for the information to make my final payment whether this would negatively impact my credit or count as a missed payment. From the point of my final payment, it took four months to receive my certificate of completion via email. In this notice to me, they stated I should contact Equifax, Experian and TransUnion to notify them of the closure. They did not inform me to contact the government Insolvency Register, which was presumed to be their job, to notify them of the IVA closure. Two years after completion, I have recently gone to move home and my referencing flagged red that I have a current IVA - this was not true and when looking further into it, this was not updated within the Insolvency Register, and it appears the agencies have been using that information as truth over the report I provided, which I imagine is an automatic process. My closed IVA has therefore been showing as active for two more years than necessary to agencies, which I have had to resolve myself to enable my referencing to go through - this may have impacted other credit searches against me in the previous two years unbeknownst to me as I expected CreditFix to have done their job. I had to contact the Insolvency Register myself with the certificate of completion, usually they would leave someone’s details on the register for a period of time after completion but fortunately they have removed mine from immediate effect given the time that has passed since completion. After already feeling I was misled around how much would be paid to CreditFix and having a bad experience with their communication and tardiness, my recent experience where I’ve had to do their job for them (what exactly was I paying them for?) has only further highlighted their poor service, mismanagement and lack of interest in helping customers who are proactively trying to get back on track. I would dissuade anyone from going through this same experience and when looking for a debt management agency to look at reviews from people at all stages of using an agencies service, and not put as much weight on those written by vulnerable people who have just entered into an agreement and who are perhaps disillusioned by a company strategically putting a friendly and understanding voice as their first point of engagement. WHY is no one replying to me?

1
WHY is no one replying to me? Got told off for making additional payments monthly when I bring home more than my 'allowed' take home pay - even though I have an email advising me to do this. When I took out the IVA, I was told it will write off upto 60% of my outstanding debt, on the app it says I have paid £20,566.74 to date out of £31,206 which is 65% of my IVA amount. My total debt amount owed was £40,598.61, so assuming I am expected to pay back the £31,206 this means I will actually be paying back 76% of my original debt amount owed with 24% being written off. Regarding the above 2 pointers - my questions that I would like answering is - due to the additional contributions made - where I receive salary over £3292.30, for what I have paid to date £20,566.74 assuming I have no further contributions over my £3292.30 allowance - the remainder of payments at £370 per month x 33 months will actually be £32,776.74 - PLUS anything I get paid over my threshold. My concern is, why am I paying more back than the agreed IVA amount of £31,206 - surely - this isn't correct? In addition to this, for the future months - if I continue to earn over the £3292.30 and make further 50% contributions I could end up paying the whole £40,598.61 back - again, this isn't right? January 2024 payday I paid almost £1000 extra payment, on top of the £370 expected. If I get to paying back the £31,206 expected is that it done? Or am I still expected to keep paying towards the original debt amount owed of £40,598.61? As I was told this is the amount you will pay - £370 per month, anything over your threshold is 50/50 but at this rate I'm likely to pay back the £31,206 IVA amount before November 2026 based on the additional contributions The other question I would like answering is if I reach the £31,206 say in March 2026 - will the creditors consider early completion of the IVA as they got back what they expected? Rubbish

My son called Creditfix and spoke to a LUKE in Glasgow office. He was let’s say needs more training in customer service especially listening skills. One of the most unprofessional, embarrassing, disrespectful and just a loser. Asked to be put through to his manager and he refused yet I’m the customer and I pay his wages Reviewed on: 20th February 2023

Matter is now in the hands of my lawyers

They don’t take money from your account when they say are going to and then tell you that you have breeched your agreement when they are the ones that haven’t taken the money from your account. Slow and on occasions rude customer service. Worst decision I ever made was having an IVA especially with this company. This matter is now in the hands of a lawyer and creditfix will never see another penny of my hard earned money. Harassing letters and phone calls. When I’m not at fault. This company is a scam Reviewed on: 5th January 2023
