Review of the EasyJet, Travel Insurance:

A total scam - don't touch it with a barge pole.

I broke my ankle a couple of weeks before going on holiday. As a solo traveller, I had nobody to help me, and the holiday would have been a waste of time and money as I was not mobile. After numerous irrelevant automated responses to my enquiry about making a claim, and hours for someone to answer the phone, I finally spoke to someone who told me what I needed to do to make a claim. I followed all Easyjet instructions - cancelled my flights, got proof I'd cancelled them (they insisted on that, which necessitated another round of irrelevant automated responses from them), got from the MIU that diagnosed the fracture and sent all the documents to them. After a week, they sent me an email asking for more documents, including a medical report from my GP (nothing from a hospital or specialist was acceptable), for which I would have to pay, They made clear that the cost of this report was not refundable in the claim. I am beyond angry. I am a pensioner who committed a significant portion of my savings to this holiday - the first in several years. I took out the insurance in good faith, but EasyJet and their partner insurer, Collinson, are making it as hard as possible to claim. It's a total scam, in my opinion.
