Stay Away!

This company is the worst car insurance company I have ever experienced. They are constantly asking for more information to be sent and threatening to cancel the policy. I have never had to talk to a car insurer so much, just a complete waste of time. Reviewed on: 15th February 2023

Never using GoSkippy again.

£150 monthly insurance. First payment was May. Was in an RTA 3 months later that wasnt my fault. (August). My car was a write off. But was still paying insurance until December. (£600 worth of insurance for a car I didn't even own. They valued my car at £1830 and took the premiers out the payout which included the 4 months I didn't have a car (Aug-Dec) When I asked about the value/payout they insisted my car is worth £1830. So when I asked for the refund from Aug-Dec as I had already paid twice. They vauled my car at £1230. Exactly £600 difference so they didn't have to give me a refund. Don't bother going with GoSkippy, they expect you to do all the work, have very rude customer services and lie to you so they don't have to give you a refund Reviewed on: 10th February 2023

Avoid at all Costs

I was hit by a third party and suffered damage to my vehicle. Go Skippy refused to repair my car,provide a courtesy car or even allow me to claim through my policy despite me being Fully Comp. Reaching out to them they became more and more uncooperative. I Made numerous complaints without success. My car was left unrepaired and unroad worthy. I will be taking the issue to the financial ombudsman Please avoid Go Skippy at all costs. Reviewed on: 23rd January 2023

Had 2 cars insured with them , scrapped one and asked them to cancel the isurance on it provided make model and Reg for it and they cancelled the wrong one the woman on phone offered me a new quote that was 4 times the amount I was paying before even tho they were at fault and the effort they made to tell me about cancellation was 0 send an email that’s all Reviewed on: 23rd January 2023

Poor customer service and communication

The customer service team are not only rude, unhelpful but very inefficient and unable to do basic tasks or communicate properly. There is no syncing or cohesion clearly, they fail to add notes to your file or properly update information on your policy or account. 
They request documents from you and you send them to emails they have given, as well as uploading to a portal and then there are staff who are still so totally clueless asking you for documents and demanding you send them. 
I uploaded documents to portal and sent all requested documents not 10 times but probably close to 15 or more because each time i got a clueless email back saying "we havent received this document yet" although i sent it last week to the proper and correct email. They dont bother to update the account, check your previous emails, check the attachments, check the portal. They are consistently lazy and bad at their jobs. 
I attached the no claim bonus and the guy replied asking for it, he clearly hadnt checked my portal document or the attachment to check if it was there
All they do is waste customer time, do a poor job and send threatening email for policy cancellation. I told them about 100 times the V5 log book is under policy holder now and updated, and im waiting for dvla to send back. They do not acknowledge this and are rude, poor customer service, clueless and dont care about doing a job well or efficiently. 
I only spoke to one nice, polite and smart person on the phone, i should have got her name because she was the only one with a brain in the customer service team. 
GoSkippy are a threatening, poorly managed and terrible insurance company.
You can do everything in ur power to communicate, send correct documents, be honest and provide info and call them several times, they will still speak to you blankly as if you havent done anything they requested.

Worst car insurer I’ve ever used! Non-fault claim fobbed off to accident management company who were useless! Cancelled my policy because my car was written off and I couldn’t find a replacement immediately so they had the nerve to charge me £75 for cancellation! Disgraceful! AVOID! Don't use them!

This company are very unprofessional..their call centre is In south Africa to..so really unhelpful when it comes to getting information cancelled my insurance with 7 days notice( on Xmas eve) when I called the following week to get refund for fully paid policy I was told I couldn't get a new policy and that a mark would to against my name. They're absolutely shocking avoid avoid avoid!! Reviewed on: 4th January 2023

Poor customer service who are not helpfull at all no sympathy in my situation as to why I need to cancel my brothers insurance. They wanted me to get a legal document but I am not prepared to pay 100s of pounds to get a document poor quality service who didn't want to help me in any way or form Reviewed on: 27th December 2022
