Terrible experience from start to finish!

avoid avoid and avoid this company! Taking out the car insurance Policy was like a security check for joining MI5.... this constituted 12 days of emails back and forth and a very time consuming unneeded procedure. trying to get a response to my renewal quote which was obscene was replied explaining that they were very busy and it may take 7 days to respond to my request!!! I requested callbacks which were arranged and never received.... the policy was automatically renewed and I did not receive any paperwork via email or post and my recent attempt to cancel the policy was hard work to say the least ... only to be told I had to pay a £75 cancellation fee which was deemed ‘reasonable.’ Be prepared to be robbed of your time and money with this company. Awful experience AVOID

In 35 years of driving I have never come across such an awful company to insure the car with ,took out a policy for my son with myself as a named driver ,I had an sp30 which was over 3 yrs old and wasn't on my licence any more ,I had totally forgot about it ,they ask you to go on the Gov website and get a code so they can verify your driving history, this old sp30 showed up and they wanted an extra148 pound because of it ,this is a RIP off as when this came to light I phoned my own insurance company to inform them .my policy for myself fully comprehensive on a brand new car was only 160 for the year ,they told me there was no difference in the cost at all ,so that proves go skippy are just ripping people off .I cancelled the policy with them due to their customer service advisor not giving me the full info ,which apparently was my fault for not knowing all their terms and conditions which their own employee did not know .it cost me 177 pound on fees for having insurance with them for 21 days .steer clear Reviewed on: 4th June 2019

Rip off Merchants.

Please don`t fall into the trap cheapest is the best quote, lot`s of fee`s. * Annoyingly rang six times in a row for renewal quote. *Charged an admin fee to take out renewal quote over the phone of £20 plus another £40 extra in comparison to the online quote. *The online quote was adjusted to the phone quote after the conversation ended. *Rude,pushy customer service advisor and couldn`t understand what she was saying. *Minor mistake on my document resulted in an extra (made up figure) of £91.89 plus a £50 admin fee. *Waited 20mins for an advisor to answer, when they did they didn`t want to resolve any problems just take my money. Why did I go with them? I had a trouble free year with them the first time and they were still the best quote online. Would I use them again? No I wouldn`t. Every time you ring them the quotes go up and they charge £20 admin fee if you take out a phone quote. If you cancel your policy they charge so much fees that you might aswell just let the policy run. Also these are not a 24hr operation and when you call takes 20 mins for an answer. Total waste of time

Got a great renewal quote on GoCompare so after my existing insurance supplier couldn't quite match it I called GoSkippy to go ahead on the quote. I had mistakenly noted my renewal date as 1 day later than it was so when I asked to change it by one day they put the quote up by £250! despite no other changes to the policy details other than wanting to pay them a day earlier they would not correct this absurd increase and the lady on the phone could not see how ridiculous this was. A total waste of my time and a display of what a load of amateur idiots run this scam company. Dont waste your time, just negotiate with a reputable firm of insurers. Having now read the reviews on here it would seems it's high time for an ombudsman to step in and sort this lot out Reviewed on: 2nd January 2019

I had to pay £250 because I cancelled my policy after 5 months. Those are the fees that I had to pay: CANCELLATION FEE BROKER FEE FINANCE FEE INTEREST CHARGED BY CREATION LEGAL COVER BREAKDOWN COVER VEHICLE REPLACEMENT I have to pay the full add-on products cost, even if I used them just 5 months. So dear friends, read carefully their terms. As they said: "The charges would apply as per our terms of business." Reviewed on: 27th November 2018
