My phone was stolen and there was a fraud attempt on my account on 02/06/2024. Kroo restricted my account. I also phone and told them to block the account the same day. Good, great, happy with that! Once I got a new phone and sim I asked for this restriction to be lifted 05/06/2024. They said I had to wait until the fraud investigation is finished can take up to 8 weeks. So £32k locked up for 8 weeks. Every other bank confirms your identity and unrestricts when requested, but whatever, fine. No replies to any communication since then, you asked for an update you get a copy & paste reply saying relevant team looking into it. No information because you cannot talk to someone who knows what is going on. 8 weeks go by and nothing. No updates, no responses and only generic replies when requesting for an update. I put in a formal complaint (my fault should have done this when they didn't provide updates when requested). They come back and say they have another 8 weeks to handle the complaint. I ask for an update and get a generic reply, saying they have until 13 September to respond. Cannot get any information from the company. My complaint reference is 686375. My account is still restricted. Please can someone look into this and let me know what I need to do to get the account unrestricted or if it's going to take until 13 September a valid reason as to why? Not just a response saying someone the relevant team is looking into it. £32k locked up since 02/06/2024. Over 2 months later and nothing has been done. No updates, only generic replies. Can't fault Kroo, it is now my default bank account. The fact you can earn interest in a current account is amazing and that they plant 2 trees when you open your account is heading in the right direction for a supporting sustainability. Reviewed on: 12th April 2024

Excellent across the board! Their current account has a very good interest rate that means I can live, spend and earn interest all at the time. Their interest rate has so far been better than most other financial services. Furthermore, their app is very easy to use and highly well designed. Great bank! Really good interest rate on my current account. I find the app easy to use. Moving money about is simple to do and I love the idea of pots inwhich to place funds for say holidays, home repairs etc. Also the card is great for spending abroad. Reviewed on: 12th April 2024

Fraud reduction measures and ...

Great service with measures in place to reduce chances of fraud. Large payments have follow up checks before the money is transfer. Money in this account earns interest at a much higher rate than many savings accounts. Reviewed on: 12th April 2024
