AVOID RSA scamming company

Absolute disgrace of a company , lost my ring was insured for 9000 had 3 quotes from independent jewellers to replace it they offered me lmg to make a replacement or £2000 when I didn’t want lmg to make it as I had seen a replicant the same from same store it was purchased it was the sentimental value as was last thing I had of my dad thus company is apauling my premium was 32 up to £80 a month with no claims in 3 years they should not be trading , please anyone looking to get any type of insurance AVOID RSA they take your money and don’t care when you need to claim. Canning company if I could give this company -100 stars I would this is a thieving company avoid at all costs Reviewed on: 5th August 2025

Home insurance claim August 23 for water damage from water tank. Substantial damage to property. Found out that policy was underwritten by RSA. Nationwide completely disinterested and passed to RSA. Diabolical company to deal with. Uninhabitable home and provided no alternative accommodation for 7 weeks, have been obstructive throughout and I have severe health condition and a 3 year old with Autism. They really don’t care. Still have not settled completely and have never sent an assessor to even visit property. They lie, conveniently lose recordings of calls at will to their advantage (surprise surprise). My case is ongoing with the Ombudsman. Luckily I have documented everything. Please beware if you are unfortunate enough to have to claim they are underhanded liers. Luckily for me, I can prove this as they don’t even read their own emails before accusing you of doing things that haven’t occurred and you have evidence to prove they have already said otherwise in their previous correspondence. They are deliberately obstructive, cancelling accommodation last minute. Not providing adequate accommodation for full family. Moving accommodation room by room daily. No allowance for meals and no facilities for preparing food. Travelling around 50/70 miles per day to get to work plus additional travel to collect children from grandparents to take to school and back. No provision for food on Xmas day. Will not replace damaged clothing, bed, wardrobe, towels, bedding, children’s toys, vacuum cleaner, tv and furniture. Please beware. Reviewed on: 23rd July 2024

Useless Home Insurance

The initial engagement with RSA was good. However, as the claim was passed on to their 3rd party suppliers, the communication and handover of details came with gap. I had to repeat every single details to their next supplier and the information was watered-down, the final assessor seems incapable of making good decision, requested for information that the previous supplier should have provided them. Overall, they have done a very bad job in handling claim. I would be cancelling this soon. I hope this message is useful for future buyers of this insurance, to do a bit of research and read the previous experience of other customers similar to mind. Reviewed on: 24th January 2024

Not happy

My grandson was painting my daughter bedroom when he had an accident with the paint so I took photos sent them in a man came out he told me to go down stairs about 20 minutes later he went home two days later I get a call asking lots of questions I told everything I new then week later I get a letter telling me that the paint did not fall properly so they turned down the claim I wish I was able to do the work my self that way they would have never been accidental spill sadly my lungs are on there way out I asked if I could appeal they no it’s final they it more than I do Reviewed on: 30th July 2020
