Travel insurance premiums don't appear to reflect true risk.

We have had travel insurance policy for years. We use them because all known condition are covered. We never had to use until last December.... We have had travel insurance policy for years. This turned to Brochitis very quickly. The local doctor came out to see him the second day and he was rushed to hospital with pneumonia. He was very ill at this point. The hospital we were sent to was an international hospital. 50kilometer away from where we were staying. Staysure couldnt have been better. They were fantanstic. From the start the covered everything. The hospital was incredable. 3 specialist looked after my husband because of associated conditions. Kidneys Heart etc nothing too much trouble. Every consultation we were joined by an english speaking person who explained everything. Two days after he was admitted l was contacted by a group of helpful people who was there solely for me. They helped me with issues like closing the tental we were staying in. Negotiating with Staysure to get taxis to get our belongings. Any question l had they found the answers and the support they gave me was priceless. I didnt feel alone. My husband was in hospital for 3 weeks. Staysure helped us get home just in time for Christmas. The organised our flight and a paramedic who met us at the hospital and escorted us back to our home in the UK. I cant praise Staysure and their associates enough for the care he had and the support l had. They settled everything very quickly with no argument. Amazing. Read more Read less

I took out a policy July 2025 Staysure works umbrella companies of Davies Group. Please please don't buy your travel insurance with this company. They... We took out holiday policy with Staysure on 18/9/25;confirmation date but had unexpected eye problem which affected my driving ability and as we were going in ferry to Guernsey and driving decided to cancel so I could do the bnecessary tests,I am 84 my wife 78, we cancelled the trip by email and had reply on 23/09/25 well within the 14 day cooling off period ,rely said they were working on it and Cancellation response,they did say it could take 3/5 days.but sometimes quicker. .no further replies except ads etc and if we wanted to amend cover and we replied the policy was cancelled..the money was taken as we had expected but on Monday arrived the travel documents by mail and we began to smell a rat.called various numbers and given the run around and by then getting anxious and emailed customer help and eventually staysure customer support with relevant email from them acknowledging our cancellation but they are prevaricating and claiming that we were out of time for cooling off period despite only being the 5th day.they say they will north refund.BEWARE they are dishonourable ,wish we had read more reviews,Do not use them if you do it is at your own risk certainly not theirs Read more Read less
