We took out holiday policy with Staysure on 18/9/25;confirmation date but had unexpected eye problem which affected my driving ability and as we were going in ferry to Guernsey and driving decided to cancel so I could do the bnecessary tests,I am 84 my wife 78, we cancelled the trip by email and had reply on 23/09/25 well within the 14 day cooling off period ,rely said they were working on it and Cancellation response,they did say it could take 3/5 days.but sometimes quicker. .no further replies except ads etc and if we wanted to amend cover and we replied the policy was cancelled..the money was taken as we had expected but on Monday arrived the travel documents by mail and we began to smell a rat.called various numbers and given the run around and by then getting anxious and emailed customer help and eventually staysure customer support with relevant email from them acknowledging our cancellation but they are prevaricating and claiming that we were out of time for cooling off period despite only being the 5th day.they say they will north refund.BEWARE they are dishonourable ,wish we had read more reviews,Do not use them if you do it is at your own risk certainly not theirs Reviewed on: 21st October 2025

I had a fantastic experience with this travel insurance company. The customer service team was incredibly friendly, responsive, and patient in answering all my questions, which gave me real peace of mind before my trip. They explained everything clearly and made the process very easy. On top of that, the price was excellent compared to other providers I looked at, without compromising on coverage. It felt like great value for the protection I received. Very frustrating

Very disappointing and frustrating. Updated annual travel insurance mid way through as had recent hospital tests for breast lump. Found not to need treatment but required monitoring in 6 months (as is normal). Staysure unable to record this and could only use a drop down box stating further TREATMENT required and charged me another £130 on top of the original £486 paid in December 2024. I emphasised that treatment was NOT required just needed monitoring. VERY disappointed and won't be using again Reviewed on: 5th August 2025

Making a claim is it worth it

Having read a lot of reviews about Staysure it apears not may of the people have tried to make a claim. I will try to make this review as short as I can, I know what your thinking, can I be bothered to read this review, I hope you will. Along with my husband we were due to go to Peru in May for a holiday of a lifetime. 3 hrs before we were meant to fly the holiday was cancelled. Being people who live in Spain we had spent money to fly to the UK to start our holiday. Being stranded with nowhere to go I managed to find us a flight home early the next day. Thinking this is no problem as I had Staysure travel insurance, WRONG. The first thing you will find is they use a 3rd party company to process their claims. Which means they can/will only answer some of your questions and Stay sure will answer the rest. After sending off our claim by post as advised by the claims department. 3 weeks later I contacted Staysure, they told me I would have to contact their claims company. 2hr later I got through and they said my claim had yet to be processed. It has now been processed and they will not pay any of my claim as they said it was down to the tour opperator. I explained that the tour opperator had given us a full refund, and what I was claiming for was what I had organised . Having spoken to a lady called Amy she said that she would look into my claim. She has just emailed me back to say they will still not pay out my claim as I had not called them to ask their permission to book my flight home. Well if you have managed to read my review then thank you, I will leave it down to you to see if you will use Staysure. I WILL NEVER USE THEM or recomend them to friends and family. My big worry is what is their emergency service like Reviewed on: 20th July 2025
