Tried to claim due to Heathrow fire, I had purchased excursions, that I could get to, as my flight was cancelled. Despite clearly saying covered pre-paid costs were covered in my insurance when trying to claim, it wasn’t covered, there are only 3 specific reasons when cancellation cover is valid. An airport closing is not one of them - but it is not in their exclusions, so should be covered. Had a very rude service representative on my first call, he out the phone down on me, such poor customer service!!! Will not be using again, and advise people not to make the same mistake as me. They had the audacity to decline my claim based on pure speculation! No real evidence, just their own made-up reasoning to avoid paying out. Their customer service is a joke. Slow, unhelpful, and dismissive. Every time I called, I got a different answer or was told to "wait 5 to 10 business days." I’ve never dealt with such an unprofessional and dishonest company in my life. I've been covered by many travel insurance companies before and never had such a bad experience. This entire process has been stressful, time-consuming, and frankly, a scam. Save yourself the frustration and DO NOT USE COVERWISE.
