Review of the Switched On Insurance, Gadget Insurance:

Awful, i highly recommend you don't use them

Incredibly rude, obtuse and downright illogical. I recommend you go elsewhere. Reviewed on: 21st November 2022

Guys beware of this fraud company They just insure you for money in case of any incident they will not cover your losses they will not replying you I’m giving them monthly fee for insurance and suddenly happens to me and I submit claim about one month ago they always saying will update you in 2 working days I always have to call them for update after 3 days and when I call they ask for another evidence and says again 2-3 working days it’s happening with me since one month I just want to say this is fraud company Reviewed on: 19th December 2023

AVOID AT ALL COST

1
What I experienced from this company is constant delays. It took 2 months for my claim to be accepted. They then threw a lot of hurdles to avoid proceeding with the claim and one of the conditions was that I provide my password to the laptop otherwise they will cancel my claim. Of course I wouldn’t do that due to the privacy of my laptop. They then kept ignoring me but still continuing to take payments until I cancelled direct debit. I asked them to cancel verbally and via email but I am yet to hear back from them. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST Reviewed on: 5th April 2023

Waste of money

Had a claim for xbox waited over week with no reply when asked said not covered then they give you a list what's not covered. Total scam beware Reviewed on: 16th January 2023

Very disappointing experience. Cancel your subsciption

1
Such a disappointing experience. I had a 'replacement' phone which was faulty. Then got told I would receive my sim card back within the next day. I still don't have it back ofcourse. This is after paying a monthly subscription for the last two years. Just a warning to others, its not really worth it. Reviewed on: 22nd August 2022

Beware of lies and delays.

1
Beware of lies and delays. My claim was made on the 28th of February, it is now the 15th of March and i still do not have my new phone even though the claim was accepted on the 1st of March. I have been paying this company every month and they show ZERO care or sympathy towards their customers. If you like things done honestly and straightforward, this is probably not the company for you. Reviewed on: 15th March 2022

Claim rejected for laptop stolen from locked car

1
My rucksack with laptop was stolen from my car when I went to shop for few minutes to buy flowers for my girlfriend. Black rucksack was in the back of the car with tinted windows, in space between driver seat and back passenger seat so wasn't visible. Car was locked - this was new rental car so it has Keyless entry systems using remote controller. The theft was recorder by witness, it was reported to police, police confirmed that the theft took place and they are investigating. Insurance company rejected the claim saying they policy wording say that "forced and violent entry into the vehicle is required". Police has confirmed that thieves can open cars with Keyless entry systems without damaging the car. I have Ultimate Insurance for 2 business laptops for more then 5 years now so I have probably paid them more for having it insured over that period of time that the laptop was worth when brand new. All new cars has got remote controllers now to open the car which means this policy is scam!!! Thieves don't use screwdrivers, hammers or crow bars to break into vehicles any more!!!
