Com artist. Paid for a new boiler with 10 year service plan. After 6 years of paying moved home and asked to continue the service... Com artist. Paid for a new boiler with 10 year service plan. After 6 years of paying moved home and asked to continue the service plan at new address. Said new boiler was too old and I still had to pay for service for the old boiler in a house I don’t live in. Tried to get me to replace a perfectly working boiler with them ! Avoid at all cost Read more Read less

    Don't let sludge get in the way of your claim...

    Whilst setting up the insurance policy was easy and the cost of the premium was reasonable. However, when it came to making a claim after... Whilst setting up the insurance policy was easy and the cost of the premium was reasonable. However, when it came to making a claim after a valve seized on the central heating system, 24/7 refused our claim on the basis that their engineer stating we had too much sludge in the system. I brought in another gas engineer for a second opinion and he found the amount of sludge to be low, and the valve had ceased for other reasons. The 24/7 engineer was helpful but also seemed to be bound by rules that looked for reasons not to support a claim. Given that we have never made a claim before, we found this response unhelpful.
