Auto renewed my breakdown for 2025/26. Only discovered this when I checked my bank account. Have emailed twice requesting reasons for this but still waiting for a response

After breaking down, 2gether lied to me about the distance I could be recovered. I didn't have the policy documents on me so I couldn't... They were insistent I could only be taken to a local garage - even on a Friday evening when the garages were closing. They left me to ring around a load of garages from the roadside but none could inspect the car that day. Under duress I allowed the car to be taken and left outside a random garage over the weekend and I arranged onward travel for myself. I checked my policy wording when I got home and guess what - I'm entitled to nationwide recovery if the car can't be fixed the same working day! I got back in touch with 2gether to ask them to bring the car to a garage local to my home (which is what should've happened in the first place) but they refused because they don't reattend for the same fault!! Having seen other reviews it seems that's their strategy - just drop the car somewhere local regardless of what your policy says. Then it's up to you to get trains etc to get home and pick up your car again once it's fixed. They don't care about the inconvenience to you - keeping costs low is their only concern.
