Review of the American Express, Charge Card:

Closed my account for no reason after 5 years

This is not the way how a bank should treat their customers. Amex was good in the past and is still good but their customer service and back office which closed my account after 5 years and I never had a late payment or something like this. If I did something wrong in some way then Amex should contact me and tell me what I did wrong but after thinking about it several days I don’t know why they closed my account. I also have a good credit rating with mortgage and other credit cards etc. so I don’t get it. Reviewed on: 16th March 2023

American Express Customer Services

As a UK customer who has held an American Express card for several years, I have always found their cardmember services to be excellent. The ability to contact customer support 24/7 is very helpful, whether you need assistance with payments, disputes, or any other account-related issues. I have always been able to reach a knowledgeable representative who can promptly resolve my issue. American Express clearly prides itself on providing superior customer service, and you can feel that commitment with every interaction. Representatives are professional, polite and strive to exceed your expectations. Even if they cannot resolve your issue on the initial call, they work diligently behind the scenes until a satisfactory solution is found. As someone living outside of the US, I particularly value the global reach and acceptance of American Express cards. Even when travelling abroad, I can count on their cardmember services to assist me with any issues that come up. Reviewed on: 1st July 2023

First class customer service

I have been an American Express member for many years. Their customer service is outstanding. Real people to whom you can speak with rather than endless ‘options’ on the telephone none of which support your needs. Whilst many will think the fee is expensive I believe it is good value for the products provided. It is a pleasure dealing with Amex which cannot be said for many financial companies. A FRIEND FOR LIFE

Been with American Express for over 41 years, their not a Credit Card, their one of my best friend's. They have been their for me when I really needed help, not just in the UK, but when my mother was diagnosed with Cancer and I had to get my sister back from the USA. Top overall card

Carries lots of benefits. Has no minimum income requirement. Although a bit on the pricy side, the benefits outweigh the annual cost. Reviewed on: 12th January 2018
