Had our garage burnt down last year, very traumatic to wake up to that, and Bank Of Scotland were great with swift service, insurance agents out to check over everything, and efficient resolution of problem (complicated by asbestos in garage ceiling). Reviewed on: 31st August 2019

Appalling Service

Having had home insurance with The Bank of Scotland for 18 years, and the misfortune to have had a fire in my home almost 9 months ago, I have been living the nightmare of trying to get this dysfunctional, unprofessional, uncoordinated, underhanded organisation to, at least attempt, to complete the required reparations in order that I can move back to my home and out of temporary accommodation. Bank of Scotland is my bank and I am very pleased with them for that. Now, sadly, like many other insurers, they give a fantastic deal when you first get insurance with them and then the insurance increased exponentially as the years go by. I have a first floor one bedroom flat in a tenement, have never claimed, minimal content and they expect me to pay £607.11 per year (building and content)!!!!
