Home insurance

Went to my bank just to talk about my savings account, started talking about savings a d then how to save money, and ended up swapping to their home insurance saving nearly a tenner a month! Very happy Reviewed on: 16th January 2018

Overpriced

Home is where the (Halifax) Bank of Scotland insurance is!

I was persuaded to take out insurance with Halifax-Bank of Scotland or HBOS when I found my own insurance creeping up each year, as it does..... So a very kind inhouse advisor talked me through it, gave me a look at a little video and a lovely little document wallet with all my terms and conditions - the result is that I am now getting equivalent insurance with home emergency cover and it costs me almost £10 less than my old insurers - go figure! You can really bank on them!

Given the personal touch, this product is really good. I used to think most insurances were the same, but since I was given a quote by the Bank of Scotland, and a personal interview, as well as a huge saving on my monthly bills, I have to recommend them as a highly professional and competitive company. Good Customer Service

Forgotten home insurance

I recently discovered I had home insurance still running with the bank of Scotland despite moving out of the property a year earlier, I phoned the service center who immediately cancelled the policy and told me they would refund the last year if I provided end of tenancy documents leaning me very happy.
