Poor Service, Unrealistic Claim Payments, Staggering Premium Increases

1
Seriously undervalued repairs after storm Eunice, very poor communication, staggering premium increases, no quality of customer care or loyalty. What else can I say! My advice is to look elsewhere and take note of the high level of poor reviews across all sites. Reviewed on: 19th January 2023

Avoid axa

1
thing it to avoid axa.. Best thing it to avoid axa.. Just look at the other reviews it's so true. My car hasn't been picked up I have reported the claim in November 2022 my car is now gathering mould. It takes me an hour to an hour half to get through I've spent over 20 hours in phone calls. I have no courtesy car I'm having to take cabs, my partner is disabled and its costing a lot to get about. I will definitely not deal with axa in future Reviewed on: 11th January 2023

Avoid This Company at all cost

50 days since accident. Vehicle still not recovered for repair. Excuses and lies, Complaint with the ombudsman Reviewed on: 10th January 2023

A complete nightmare avoid at all costs

1
Been about 3 weeks with out a car, a company collected the car on behalf of AXA to check whether it can be repaired, its been more than a week and I call that company and they just inform me that AXA instructed them to pick it up and nothing else. Now I have no car, no courtesy car and have no clue what is going on. More important than anything is no one responds to any attempts of contact. One star is not even deserved. Claims process is absolutely horrendous and they are liars

1
How this company has a 5 star defaqto rating is beyond me. I had to make a claim earlier in the year for a damaged headlight, after someone had reversed into my car and left without leaving any details. I contacted the claims team and they were useless. I was given incorrect information on more than one occasion and sent on a wild goose-chase to "vision" which is their approved company for booking your car into a garage for repairs. I told the claims team I wanted my car to be repaired at Southampton Audi as that is where my car was currently situated having its MOT. I was told by vision the nearest garage who could carry out my repairs was 25 miles further away in Salisbury! I pleaded with Vision that this was an enormous inconvenience, but they said that is all they could offer. More hours were then wasted contacting garages in Salisbury and getting absolutely nowhere as they could not carry out the repairs within a reasonable time frame. Due to the headlight damage my car had failed its MOT, so the repairs had to be carried out ASAP hence why I wished my car to be repaired at Southampton Audi where the car was situated at the time. I then gave up and called the AXA helpline number and was told that my car could be repaired at a garage of my choice all along! I also queried that the no claims team had said I would be classed as at fault in this instance and would be losing 10 years off my no claims! The call handler said this would not be the case and that it was essentially a hit and run I would not be classed as at fault and only lose 2 years no claims. This turned out to be further miss information and I have been classed as at fault! Axa need to seriously re-train their staff as the experience of making a claim was absolutely horrendous. I literally lost an entire day making endless phone calls going round in circles when I should have been given the correct information and guidance from the claims team at the first point of call. I am now trying to raise a complaint about this experience and being lied to, but trying to raise a complaint is almost impossible with AXA also as I think they simply do not care about me as a customer. Incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience from a so called 5 star insurer. Reviewed on: 15th December 2022

Great at the start !

1
Great company at the start when taking your money. So easy and straightforward. Them if you need to claim they are utterly useless. Hours spent on the phone which you get disconnected after 30 mins without speaking to anyone. I've been without a vehicle for 2 weeks and still no end in sight on when it will be repaired or the courtesy vehicle which was happily discussed when I bought the policy. Come on AXA. I went with you guys again because you had a great name in the business. I so wish I had gone elsewhere ! Reviewed on: 28th November 2022

Liars - and you have to wait 3 hours to get thru to speak to liars

1
Flat out lied during a claim. They got found out lying, but good luck speaking to anyone. An absolute embrassment of a company. If you ever actually need the product you're paying for they are elusive in the extreme. An absolute racket. Reviewed on: 25th November 2022

Shocking lack of communication!!!

1
Went to renew my insurance only to discover a claim had been claimed against me, settled and closed. A claim I had no idea was even still going on. I had informed the insurance company last year that they may get a call as I had reversed into a car (very slowly) in a car park with witnesses, which had broken 3 slats on the front plastic grill of the car I hit. Which I had offered to pay for the damage to as on looking online at a new grill it would've been around £100 for a brand new one, the other driver said he'd get back to me. roll on 8 months for my renewal. turns out (without a call or email, letter or anything) they proceeded with the claim and paid out £2,152.52 ! If you end up in a bump hopefully the car you hit is insured by AXA. It seems to me they will pay out whatever it is you want to claim for, and do it all without informing their customer or gathering any evidence. SHOCKING !! Reviewed on: 6th October 2022
