AXA stay Clear

Had a car accident where I was slamed by a car hit me side on wiped out both doors I sureness via AA, put me in contact with their insurers AXA only to be told they can't help me as no dashcam, no witnesses, No camera!Hold on a minute I'm paying £80pm for car insurance Breach of contract comes to mind! So now car is been taken for repair via another VW Body shop through my Car Insurence Reviewed on: 1st June 2025

Beyond INCOMPETENT.

Beyond INCOMPETENT. Car has been in the garage for over 3 months due to a flooding which was diagnosed from the garage of needing to replace components that would cost nearly £3500. Had to go through Axa Car Insurance as I needed the car repaired quickly as I need the car as part of my job. And now my employment is being threatened by my company as I still don't have a car to do my job. It's been months of constant calling and being constantly fobbed off with the answer that their so called 'engineers' are still deciding if the car should be written off or repaired and then constantly told to wait a few more days. Promises of call backs have never happened. They've started their own so called 'complaints procedures' which I don't see anything on my online account They keep telling me they understand my frustration and doing all they can. REALLY....all they can for the past 3 months with no real acceptable explanations or progress ??? All I want is a yes or no answer so I can stop being left in limbo and do something about it. Seriously...NEVER EVER even think about using AXA Car Insurance. Of all the car insurance providers I've used before, AXA Car Insurance has got to be the worst one yet. I've asked as a GOOD FAITH GESTURE if they can provide a courtesy car in the meantime, which was point blank denied. Their lack of service gives me no confidence in wanting to carry on or recommend to anyone to use their policies. The word IMCOMPETENCE doesn't even describe how bad they actually are. With this thought as soon as the policy has expired and the car repaired, there's no chance I'll be using them again. Unfortunately I've trusted my house with their insurance as well. Insurance companies are bad - AXA are the worst

Just awful. If you have car insurance with AXA, just pray you never have to engage with them at all. Between AXA and Vizion, they pass you between each other and blame the other side, no-one can help or is willing to. I'm left with a huge bill, no help whatsoever and weeks of absurdly awful customer service when trying to suggest ways to actually solve a problem. Reviewed on: 8th January 2025

Been over 2 years since accident.

I’ve been a loyal customer of AXA for years, but my recent experience with them has been extremely disappointing. When I found a cheaper quote elsewhere and asked if AXA could match it, I was told outright that this wasn’t possible and that I should look elsewhere. It felt like my loyalty as a long-term customer wasn’t valued at all. Despite raising concerns about how my renewal premium was calculated, I received vague, generic responses that lacked transparency. AXA claims they follow FCA regulations, but they refused to provide a clear explanation of how my renewal price was determined, leaving me questioning their fairness. To make matters worse, AXA imposes a £52.50 cancellation fee, which they justify with routine administrative tasks like updating the Motor Insurance Database. This fee feels excessive and unfair, especially given that switching providers was my only real option due to their unwillingness to negotiate or clarify their pricing. Overall, AXA’s approach feels dismissive of customer loyalty and overly rigid. They seem more interested in pushing customers to shop around than retaining them by offering competitive pricing or addressing concerns properly. I’ve escalated my complaint, but based on this experience, I won’t be returning to AXA in the future. I wouldn’t recommend AXA if you value transparency, loyalty, or flexibility from your insurance provider. There are better options out there. Rating: 1/5 Reviewed on: 27th November 2024
