Standing order set-up got lost along the way

I went intro branch to hand in a standing order request form. After 2 weeks it still hadn't been set-up so I called up HSBC. They could see the scanned form, but weren't sure why it hadn't been set-up...so they did it on the phone. Solved the problem, but not something that I should have had to chase! Ridiculous time to replace a credit card.

We needed to replace our credit card. We understood it would take four working days but after contacting them we were told it would be 10 days. If it arrives in the next post it will be 11 days, hardly a premiere service. Credit cards from other providers arrived after three and four days. Reviewed on: 7th July 2024

Premier account customers are treated appallingly

Although I have a monthly salary after tax of £11k and £50k in savings with HSBC they reduced my overdraft and asked me to re-apply to have it increased by £1.25k back to £5k. I rarely use my overdraft and have been with them for 30 years. I am now moving my business Reviewed on: 4th May 2024

Best customer service

As a premier customer for many years I cannot live without its services! I have lived in many counties and it was so easy to set up global account in each of them. I have access to 24hr support and have been helped out of tricky situations by their excellent team! I have been an HSBC customer for decades and as I travel lots I always feel safe knowing the premier team are there to help. Reviewed on: 4th April 2024

HSBC service is the last you can call premium

I'm with HSBC for over 18years, last few years I have more then enough money on my advanced account for Premier accaount requirments, however no-one bother to offer or suggested upgrade my account. Finally this year I decided update Advance to Premier account - process was sooooo painful I can't describe - several phone cals to book appointment, 3 cals back (with dropping call in the middle of conversation by bank advisors), finally happened ! After few day I checked my account and all data was put wrongly, income, outcome . wrong DOB. I asked to transfer my credit card in to Premier - this request never was done. I had requested transfer credit card again, after few days received blank paper form with no clear instruction what to do or how to complete ... completed , sent back. Today after over week I called bank again (there is complete radio silent for bank about any progress), I been informed I need to GO to bank branch to confirm my signature ????? THIS IS BANK with "premium" bank account and service, you can buy phone and confirm your identity online or complete form for passport over internet but any simples task with HSBC you need to GO to bank branch or dealing with someone over phone - seriously ?! in 2024 ??!! Do not bother

I was charging banks from Barclays premier as all of the Benefits you USED to get have gone and hsbc premier seemed like a good choice the service has been dreadful everything is sent by Royal Mail and is slow the app is so unreliable and you can never get through to talk to anyone and they are closing again so many branches it’s a nightmare worst of all they don’t care Reviewed on: 17th March 2023
