Live up to the name

Affordable

Affordable life insurance with great cover, excellent for those living on tight budgets. Customer service is fantastic, would not use another company. Reviewed on: 21st September 2017

Simple and easy

I set up my policy after using comparison sites to compare the amounts each policy would cover up to. Legal and General were always near the top of all the sites I used in terms of cover cost, however as some of the others I hadn't heard of before, it was an easy choice to pick them for my life insurance. A helpful agent called me the day after and proceeded through the questions and even explained about beneficiaries that was not mentioned on the websites. I finalized the manageable monthly cost and now have complete piece of mind. My tip for anyone interested in life insurance is do it sooner so that the amount you pay will decrease as you age. Easy to apply, great cover!

I applied for our life insurance as it was a requirement of taking out our mortgage. I'd been putting it off for a while as I thought it would be complicated. The process was actually really simple, requiring minimal information but providing a very competitive quote. There was a mistake made in the first application but it was quickly rectified and we were covered very quickly afterwards. We haven't had any further dealings with them as we haven't had to change anything, but up to now I'm very satisfied with the help and advice available. Reviewed on: 27th July 2017

Reasonable price

I'm happy with the life insurance for myself and my husband. It's good cover and cheaper compared to others. I didn't get ten because they didn't cover me for critical cover as my mum had cancer and I've a gene which increases my risk so I get regular testing. Due to this they won't cover me for cancer which I didn't think was fair. If I didn't get gene tested I wouldn't know therefore I would have been covered and not getting tested regularly so athat higher risk. That's the only negative about legal and general. Quick application process if not long medical history

Online application was surprisingly quick and easy. The firm had all relevant questions and loaded quickly. Only delay caused by long medical history. Good ongoing contact via email and letter while awaiting approval. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

A bit confusing

When I took out life insurance with legal and general, they had a very thorough check list to go through, but when following something up, they either didn't receive or didn't action the paperwork I spent, meaning I had to go through the whole process again.
