Protection from bad sellers

I love PayPal - I had a bad experience with an eBay seller who went very quiet after accepting my payment, and never sent the item. When I reported it to PayPal, they did an investigation and refunded me the money promptly. Wonderful service! Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

Spot on!

Several years ago when myself and my now wife decided to move in together, we wanted to get a joint bank account together. As my wife had banked with Barclays from the age of 11, she suggested we turn her current account into a joint one if possible. We popped into the bank, and they made it happen in just a few minutes (with the right documents of course) and we even got to have a photo with the premier league trophy! Absolutely awesome, would recommend to all! Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Good cover but not too good with paperwork

My wife and I decided to change life insurance providers after a telephone price comparison. To be honest, I wish we hadn't - first of all, the cover has doubled in cost from the old ones (not what we were promised), and whilst mine went smoothly, due to a slight heart murmur they insisted my wife provide more info by letter, which she did. They then claimed they never received it and cancelled the whole thing! We ended up rearranging and the cover offered is pretty good, but in all honesty, I wish we'd stuck with Aviva and saved the hassle! Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

Still waiting....

Six years ago I was planning to propose to my then-girlfriend (now my wife). I visited my Natwest branch to ask for an overdraft to temporarily cover the cost until my next payday, however, due to an administrative error, my account was still down as a child's account, even though I was 20. They promised to get it changed and to give me a call once it was done so they could arrange the overdraft. Many prompts and over a month later, I realised that they weren't going to keep their word and still hadn't updated the account, so I left them. Very disappointed in them.
