Good basic bank account with a few little extras

The tedious check that I am making a genuine payment gets ridiculous. The "I" in A.I. seems to stand for "Ignorance" rather than "Intelligence" especially when Lloyds thinks it could be suspicious/dangerous for me to transfer money from my Lloyds Current Account to my Lloyds Savings Account; or indeed businesses that I have paid regularly for years.. As for branch service - a recent re-fit removed the clock and provided four teller stations. I always expect a queue and I borrow a chair or ask another customer to hold my place as there are normally only two stations manned, one of which has a non-customer with a complicated query that takes at least 30 minutes (which I guess is why the clock was removed!) I have used them for no other reason as I was able to setup an account quicker than another option and have been with them since. I may one day move but they good enough for now. Reviewed on: 11th April 2023

Didn't change address properly

I contacted the Bank on many occasions to change an overseas address as I was stuck there due to Covid-19 and my card had expired. The staff I spoke to on the phone only put in the 1st line of the address despite me spelling the full address patiently word for word. The new Debit card never arrived Obviously due to this major error Reviewed on: 19th February 2023

A pleasant bank

I have had a current account with Lloyds since I was 19 & have always found it to be a good bank. I never have issues with my local branch & find Lloyds to be trustworthy! I have recently upgraded my account to a Club Lloyds which allows me to have 6 free cinema tickets per year & I can honestly say that is the only reason I decided to upgrade. I think the bank could offer more to its customers, the interest rates on the savings accounts aren’t great & the app is packed with so much information that it isn’t that easy to navigate.
