Review of the NatWest, Cash ISA:

Secure and safe

5
NatWest is a trusted bank and offers great perks and interest whilst keeping your money completely secure and safe Reviewed on: 18th February 2023

Unable to follow instructions

Attempting to set up account for my wife who has dementia with me acting as deputy power of attorney. So far this has taken over 4 weeks, they have all the relevant paper work but have decided not to follow my request to leave our joint account as is with both names showing and were in the process of removing her name. On complaining I was encourage to make a complaint this I have done and have been promised a call on Monday the 20.03.17. Having been a customer for fifty years I can only assume that loyalty counts for nothing. Reviewed on: 17th March 2017

Free money

I don't know what the rate is but the free 250 top up makes it so worthwhile. When we buy the house it means we'll have at least 2000 extra for nothing Reviewed on: 17th March 2017

I have been with Natwest since I was a child, thats well over 30 years ago. I collected all piggies when I was a child and have always been valued as a long time customer. The staff in the bank are friendly and in regards to my ISA-its been a great way to save money! Reviewed on: 5th February 2017

I have been offered Saving account as a NatWest customer. No issues with the setup, the bank is providing what has been promised. Reviewed on: 11th September 2016

Branch staff 1, Remote Access Nil

Staff in branch could not be more eager to help, and - despite a pointless, ugly, trendy redesign - customers tend to leave our NatWest smiling. More people now use app / online banking. The app is so limited in what you can see and do, I rarely bother. The website - unlike Santander - forces you to phone if you have a query. Crazy. They have to guess an answer or research one. Email (or logged-in secure web forms for account-specific questions) allows them time to read your detailed description, look into an issue and take their time to find an authoritative, accurate reply. Natwest Savings Experience

4
I use an instant access savings account with Natwest and I have found the service to be very practical and exactly as it appears - security for your savings complete with instant access via branch, phone, online, or app (none of which I have ever had any problems with). I have also never had any issues with accessing the account or the amount of interest paid. Overall a good, reliable service - exactly what it says on the tin. Reviewed on: 7th September 2016

Nothing special at all

I had a Natwest cash ISA for a few years as I had a current account with Natwest so it was nice to be able to manage everything from within one single place. Unfortunately, every 6 months or so, I got the dreaded email from Natwest telling me that my interest rate was reducing, until it was less than half a percent, so I ended up taking my money elsewhere. Reviewed on: 5th September 2016

Slow but steady

3
Natwest is the only bank I've ever banked with who take up to 24 hrs to move money from my current account to my savings account. Most other banks are instant from one to the other. Other than that, I find natwest to be a good back-up to my main bank, not had any problems with them. Reviewed on: 31st August 2016
