The NatWest Select Account is an award winning basic current account helps you manage your money in one place, with no monthly fee.

I try to manage my account by online, branch, telephone and even cash machine. This way where ever I am, I can access information about my account and act accordingly. Online - I find this a secure process, using both a four digit number and letters/numbers from your chosen word. The screens are well laid out, showing the details of not just your current account, but any additional accounts that you have. To access your individual account is easy to use and accessing transactions is a simple process to interact with. Branch - I find that both counter staff and the desk staff are helpful and friendly, I have been into the branch to ask for assistance with a query I had regarding my online banking and this was dealt with straight away. Telephone - I find it is easy to use the telephone process and the call centre staff are always courteous and helpful. Mobile - I like the fact that I can sign up for text alert, these you can set to your personal preferences, myself have mine set up to notify me when my balance goes down to a set point. Notification - If you have a payment going through your account that is over your overdraft limit, you can recieve a text message, notifying you of this item and it give you to the afternoon to arrange for additional funds to go into your account, without any bank charges being applied. In summary this is an account I would highly recommend to anyone. Reviewed on: 29th August 2015

The over the hill bank

After a very bumpy. Where the bank closed my account for 2weeks last year without my knowledge leaving me with no way to get to my money for food and paying bills leaving me temporarily in debt , I had to overseas account fee which should have been covered by the bank, now just last month I got a letter telling me I’m to find another bank as they are closing my account permanently in April, can I get an explanation can I hell they refuse to tell me why, I think they’ve done me a big favour. Natwest - A reliable bank and product

I find natwest to be very reliable and have a good selection of products, some of which are the best on the market in my opinion. The select account is standard to most other banks. What stands out to me is Natwests customer support which has provided me with prompt support whenever I had any queries. I think that they support their customers well and are a bank I feel I can trust. The select account is easily accessed through the app which is easy to use and has a plethora of features. I find it easy to look through my transactions, get support, pay friends, and move money through the app. Reviewed on: 28th February 2025

Aaron needs to learn his customer skills

Just spoken to Aaron, my son was locked out of his online banking. Aaron was very rude, no customer service skills whatsoever. Wasn't helpful in the slightest. Disgusting as an advisor who is meant to help people! Reviewed on: 21st September 2024

Easy to use current account with many features

Easy to use and 'attractive' app. Select account comes with many features including attached Digital Regular Saver account that pays 6.17% interest (AER), single or double Round Ups and on screen transaction notifications. Reviewed on: 24th May 2024
