Excellent service

I try to manage my account by online, branch, telephone and even cash machine. This way where ever I am, I can access information about my account and act accordingly. Online - I find this a secure process, using both a four digit number and letters/numbers from your chosen word. The screens are well laid out, showing the details of not just your current account, but any additional accounts that you have. To access your individual account is easy to use and accessing transactions is a simple process to interact with. Branch - I find that both counter staff and the desk staff are helpful and friendly, I have been into the branch to ask for assistance with a query I had regarding my online banking and this was dealt with straight away. Telephone - I find it is easy to use the telephone process and the call centre staff are always courteous and helpful. Mobile - I like the fact that I can sign up for text alert, these you can set to your personal preferences, myself have mine set up to notify me when my balance goes down to a set point. Notification - If you have a payment going through your account that is over your overdraft limit, you can recieve a text message, notifying you of this item and it give you to the afternoon to arrange for additional funds to go into your account, without any bank charges being applied. In summary this is an account I would highly recommend to anyone. Reviewed on: 29th August 2015

I've been with Natwest for ten years. Customer service is good and the Select Account is easy to use and manage (I like the online banking site). However, overdraft charges are high and I don't feel like I've been rewarded for my loyalty to Natwest. I would probably advise to look for a better value deal with another bank. Fantastic customer service!

People are always quick to jump on their bank as soon as they make the slightest mistake and quite rightly so - after all, we are trusting them with our hard earned cash. When things go as they should, though, we tend to keep quiet about it. That's why I want to share my experience of banking with Natwest with you. I've used quite a few banks over the years and Natwest trumps the lot in terms of customer service. Problems and queries are dealt with quickly, be it online or in the branch. They also keep later opening hours, including Saturdays and have a range of fee-free extras such as Overdraft Control (which basically stops you from being charged if a Direct Deit is rejected) and a cash back scheme where you can earn on certain purchases made with your Natwest debit card. Overall, I'd give them 9 out of 10. They only lose a point due to the branch nearest to my house closing. Fortunately, the next branch is right by my workplace so I haven't been too inconvenienced but I'm sure people who are less mobile for whatever reason have been put at a disadvantage. Worry free, reliable banking.

I've been with Natwest, now, in various guises, for more than 5 years. After recently deciding to open a new bank account with them (and closing my long dormant joint account). I was pleasantly suprised to find myself accepted (this was a shocker, as my credit was not particularly good) 4 months later, and Natwest offered me an overdraft! Again, a complete suprise, as my credit rating was very, very poor. I've dealt with them in branch, multiple times now, and had absolutely no issues. I really have no issues recommending them, to anybody. Reviewed on: 25th August 2015

Frustrating & unhelpful

I have been struggling with ill health recently, and because I couldn't work once month I went over my overdraft limit. The charges were horrendous, and meant the following month that I went overdrawn AGAIN. They charged me again, and now I'm in a vicious cycle of charges due to their unsupportive and unsympathetic staff. I have now raised a complaint with them. Reviewed on: 25th August 2015

Excellent Customer Service, Always Delivers

Recently, I needed to review my balance, payments in and out and to transfer some money between my bank accounts, however I was unable to access my online banking, no idea why and neither my laptop, smartphone or tablet was allowing me to access the site via the website or the app. I called Natwest to enquire if there were any issues with internet banking, of which there were none. The Customer Service rep whom I spoke with was extremely friendly and fantastically helpful. They were able to provide me with the information I needed, made my transfer for me. They also helped me when I enquired about opening an account for my son and explained what I would need to do etc. I have never had an issue when contacting Natwest, very pleasent bank to deal with. I have been with NatWest a number of years since originally opening a student account. I have never had any problems with them and find them to give excellent customer service. I regularly earn cash back particularly through grocery shopping which means I have a little extra cash every month which is great! Reviewed on: 15th August 2015

Would never think of changing

Very efficient and modern banking.

NatWest are one of the most well-known banks in the United Kingdom. Existing customers expect the best from a bank with so much prestige in their history and NatWest do not disappoint. Day-to-day banking is made easy with the new app on IOS and Android. Updates are frequent and the ability to transfer money from your phone to your account is priceless (in every sense of the word).
