Very little to no value

After 15 years with the bank, a healthy financial situation built from the ground up (and being myself a Senior worker in the Finance industry) and the day I applied for a personal loan, it was declined. I appealed the decision with rationales and a request for justification about the decline and unfortunately, to my surprise, had the decision/declined confirmed with the following 'shocking' statements in the letter attached: "I am unable to give you a specific reason as to why your application did not successfully pass", "For business reasons, the bank does not divulge the way in which our system calculates a decision". Positive but could do with more perks

my overall experience has been positive however I think that other banking apps offer better benefits such as discounted rail cards or free greggs etc. I use my TSB account as my main one but also use Monzo and Plum as there are perks involved. It would be good if TSB tried to offer similar incentives. Reviewed on: 17th April 2026
