Degrading , terminally ill, can’t get money back , RUN

I have had to apply for my pension early due to terminal illness , “ I’m 50 this year , I have had to go through utter hell to prove I’m genuine , I paid for a form to be certified and stamped by doctor to confirm terminal illness, because he couldn’t guarantee I will die in a year it was rejected , so I had another form to pay a doctor to sign to say I’m not fit to work again “ because being terminal wasn’t enough ? Firstly the returns Nest offer are very poor, this is the reason why I decided to transfer my money to another company. In total I have 5 different pension. every other pension provider has transferred my pension except Nest , it is obvious they use every trick in the book, ie the pension is still active so we can't transfer it even though I have not contributed into it for 3 years. best advice bin them they are total crooks but what do you expect from something organised by the government. they make you jump through hoops to get your cash they deduct your income tax wrong amd then take an age to pay into your account , the call centre is useless its outsourced they read from canned messages in broken english same on the chat canned replies and they take an age to reply to emails my account is set up for mail in the post only still waiting for that one .... Imposibly complicated to move pension and close account

Nest charges high fees and makes it costly to transfer out your pension as you have to send them a bunch of paperwork and your ID by certified mail and pay for a notary to undersign everything, things other pension funds don't even ask for to complete an official transfer request from your preferred provider. Don't open an account as they will ignore you when you try to move your money out. Reviewed on: 14th February 2024

Astonishingly poor

The whole of the system is poor. The website conceals information and resets changes, the returns are poor, and if you're trying to take money out or transfer it to another fund, I wish you luck! All the customer service seems to be offshored, and they think ten working days is a good response time to an email. Reviewed on: 14th November 2023

Constantly poor experience

Such poor service. The website is poorly designed and managed, so far from a user-friendly experience it's unreal. With my last employer my pension was with Aegon - so user friendly! When reporting constant system failures they're always 'try deleting cookies', 'try a different' browser - none of which makes a difference. BEWARE Almost impossible to get your money out

It has been very difficult to access my pension pot. They claim it takes two weeks to receive the payout but it’s now been well over a month and they still haven’t paid. When I contact support they claim to have limited information on the status. They just constantly come up with new requests for additional information - what seem like blatant ploys to delay paying me the money they have taken from me over the years - atrocious!
