Disgraceful and dishonest customer service.

Disgraceful and dishonest customer service. I called to cancel my renewal a week before it was due (this can't be done on the customer portal) and told the advisor the policy wasn't suitable. I was provided with another quote that i said i would think about.... i did not call back. I was later advised by email that my renewal of the unsuitable was going ahead. I called again and asked why? and was told I did not use the exact phrase ' cancel my automatic renewal' so they would charge me £62 to cancel it! I said i had allready cancelled it so they reduced the cancellation fee to £32 and threatened debt recovery if i didn't pay! I asked to speak with a manager and the advisor flippantly replied 'well they will say the same thing' I again insisted that i speak with a manager and was told they may be busy and it could be a 72 hour wait for a call back. I again insisted so the advisor went off the line and returned a few minutes later and said they will (finally) cancel the policy and the associated charges. Sad thing for them is if the matter had been handled with more honesty and integrity instead of trying to chance fleecing me I would have taken them up on their lower quote. Dishonest company.

After the first year of insurance with them they hiked up the price and then ought to renewed my policy and took the money from my account even though I had tried repeatedly to contact and cancel the insurance this company is impossible to contact and impossible to leave.I I have to recover the money I sent to them via my bank recovery service.
