Avoid this company. I purchased building insurance from them through Comparethemarket.com. During the application process I declared a drains claim which was not paid 4.5... Avoid this company. I purchased building insurance from them through Comparethemarket.com. During the application process I declared a drains claim which was not paid 4.5 years ago as the insurer decided it wasn't covered. 3 weeks into the policy they contacted me saying I had undeclared claims and needed to provide a letter on headed paper from my previous insurer explaining the claims. Initially I had no idea what they were referring to but when they provided the dates I worked out is was a claim against my contents insurance for a pair of lost spectacles. I explained that this was a claim against contents not buildings insurance and they insisted anyway. I've doublechecked the comparethemarket site. when applying for buildings insurance there are no categories in the "What was the cause of the claim" section which correspond to a contents insurance claim. I managed to get the letter from an old insurer and uploaded it to their portal. A few days later I received an email stating that they were adding an additional premium to my account, without stating what the additional premium was except it was inclusive of a £42.50 administration fee. They do not provide any way of communicating with them except chat. I told them to cancel the policy. For 1 month of cover it has cost me £201.08 from an initial 568.21 Read more Read less

I am writing to provide feedback regarding the service I received from a One Call agent (TW5) following a motoring incident on Thursday 18th June... I am writing to provide feedback regarding the service I received from a One Call agent (TW5) following a motoring incident on Thursday 18th June 2026 at approximately 10:30 hrs. The incident occurred when my caravan became uncoupled from my car while making a right turn, resulting in damage to both vehicles. Unfortunately, the handling of this claim was significantly below expectations for the following reasons: - Lack of Technical Understanding: The agent (TW5) appeared unable to comprehend how the vehicles were attached or the nature of the separation. - Incorrect Information & Failed Transfers: I was initially told I was not insured with One Call. The agent then refused to identify the supposed insurer, citing "Data Protection," and transferred me to two different incorrect numbers where I received no reply. - Misrouting of Claims: During a follow-up call today, Friday 19th June 2026, TW5 transferred me to Allianz Commercial. After a 15-minute wait, an agent named Craig informed me that Allianz Commercial does not handle private cars and that my actual insurer is LV. - Poor Efficiency: It was only through Craig’s assistance that I obtained the correct contact details for LV. After a further 20-minute wait, I finally reached an agent named Araya, who handled the claim professionally. I am extremely dissatisfied with this experience. One Call proved to be "several calls," and it is clear that agent TW5 requires significant training regarding attention to detail, technical knowledge of vehicle attachments, and customer empathy. As a result of this experience, I will not be renewing my policy through One Call when it expires.     When i asked for renewal due to house move, the quote was double. Cancellation was almost 100£ ridiculous. So had to cancel anyways, and get...
