I'm here to share my recent frustrating experience with Revolut, and hope it serves as a cautionary tale for others, especially students relying on the platform. As a student managing my finances with Revolut, I recently encountered a major hiccup. I received a message from Revolut support informing me that my account is under review. Here's the kicker: they didn't provide any clear reason for the review, leaving me in a state of confusion and panic. The message stated that they "don't require anything from my side for now" and that the review could take anywhere from 1 to 14 business days. As a student, relying on my Revolut account for daily transactions and bill payments, this news hit hard. It's not just an inconvenience; it's a potential threat to my financial stability. What's worse is that during this review period, several crucial actions on my account are restricted. can't send or receive funds, top-up my account, make card payments, withdraw cash from ATMS, or even engage in commodity trading or cryptocurrency transactions.Imagine being a student with bills to pay, groceries to buy, and everyday expenses to cover, only to find yourself completely locked out of your own funds without any clear explanation or timeline for resolution. It's frustrating, to say the least. While understand the need for security measures and reviews to combat fraud and ensure compliance, the lack of transparency and communication from Revolut is unacceptable.
