I just was told my claim for storm damage on my roof from storm Isha and consecutive strong winds would not be taken. The assessor came and looked at the two tiles and made some sorry excuse about cement erosion .I have been with them for years,do not KNOW WHY I AM PAYING MY INSURANCE . UTTER GARBAGE

1
If I could give a minus amount I would !!! I'll advise anyone else not to take out a buildings and contents insurance policy with them as I'd been with them for almost 20 years and when I needed them most they said I wasn't covered by there wording so my advice is to anyone stay away from them !!!! Let down after 40 years

My Home contents insurance was due for renewal in May 2023 so I contacted the Pru to increase my cover from £50k to £100k. No problem said the rep it will cost you £5 a year extra to increase your cover. My documents came today and on reading through I noticed a subtle change in the cover requirements being I had to have a home alarm connected to an alarm company. No mention of this during my phone call so today I have been forced to go back to my original cover or face a bill to update my house alarm to an expensive monitored system. I am left feeling ripped off and disappointed that my 40 years plus loyalty counts for nothing. Reviewed on: 4th May 2023

Home & Contents 2023/2024 insurance latest quote has risen by 45% !! for us - long standing customers

1
Last deal which even then 3 years ago seemed high was £421.70 p.a. OUR LATEST INCREASE FOR A 3 YEAR FIXED PRICE DEAL HAS RISEN TO A STAGGERING £611.80 P.A. WHICH IS A 45% INCREASE - EVEN THOUGH INFLATION IS SAID TO DROP TO 3% LATER IN 2023.... In addition to this we have been very loyal ( some say stupid) customers for tens of years) This is totally unacceptable when other companies have quoted around the £300 mark. In America this would be a classic case of PRICE GOUGING with the logical result of massive loss of volume. NOTE WELL & ACT ACCORDINGLY.! Reviewed on: 26th March 2023
