The Financial Ombudsman have upheld multiple complaint about this firm

How surprising, given the high number of complaints about this firm (look for Retail Money Market Limited on the Financial Ombudsman Website) that there are SOOOO many super positive reviews....On another note, back in 2014 The FCA was warning that some P2P platforms were manipulating reviews on review sites. This is a bad review, it's also genuine. Ratesetter is a terrible business model, and is terrible to do business with. The P2P scandal is widely covered now in multiple court cases and forums, I appreciate that the first thing that will happen after this review is posted is that the Smart Money People will get an email from Ratesetter Legal telling them to take down my review, it's happened on other review sites, but I can back up this bad and truthful review with plenty of evidence. What Metrobank were doing buying this firm in a six week negotiation during lock down, and what due diligence they did is one question I would ask. There will be many more questions asked as The FCA whistleblower case of relating to P2P rumbles on. But to quote directly from that, P2P had 'Ponzi Like" practises... Super Loan Company!

Used Ratesetter for a few years now, one of the few loans I’ve had that you can track to the penny yourself - no hidden fees all transparent and easy to administer online. Reviewed on: 25th May 2024

Straight forward loan

Fabulous company , no messing about it says what it does on the tin ! Once approved money in your bank in a blink .great online service . Wouldn’t go anywhere else . Reviewed on: 19th July 2023

My First Stop For Loans

I've had a few loans over the years with Ratesetter, sometimes short term ones to make a small purchase or to tide me over and sometimes bigger, longer ones for larger purchases. I have always got the loan with minimal fuss, at a competitive rate and when I pay it back early I get no penalty. I don't go to anyone else now. Highly recommended. Reviewed on: 31st May 2023

Excellent!

I used Ratesetter for a personal loan, and the entire process was very quick and easy. Every step of the application was clear and I knew how much I would be paying back, what date my repayments would be taken, and how much I would be repaying overall. At the time of applying for my loan, I was offered a much lower APR than any other loan provider I had considered. I would definitely use Ratesetter again, and I would highly recommend them if you are looking for an affordable loan with a fantastic selection of repayment options to suit your finances.
