Revolut is an e-money institution which means you can take out an everyday account to manage your money in a range of ways.

You can send, spend, receive and hold a range of currencies. Customers get a physical debit card for everyday spending, a virtual card and a single-use virtual card that resets its details each time you use it.

Imagine I traveled to Europe for a vacation.

Imagine I traveled to Europe for a vacation. Before my trip, I exchange my local currency to Euros within the Revolut app at a great exchange rate, avoiding high fees at airport kiosks. While abroad, i use my Revolut card to make purchases without worrying about hidden fees, and whenever you need cash, I withdraw from an ATM with minimal charges. Additionally, Revolut’s real-time notifications keep me updated on my spending, and its budgeting tool helps me stay on track with expenses. One day, i accidentally left my card at a café, but i instantly freeze it in the app and order a replacement in seconds. For security, Revolut’s virtual cards also let me make safe online purchases, and if any issue arises, their in-app support quickly resolves it. Reviewed on: 13th March 2025
