Ordered us dollars online to picked up at a named store. Arrived to pick up on the stated date but no currency there. Was advised that tesco currency was a separate conpany. Telephoned the number given and was told it was the couriers fault and to try the next working day. DO NOT USE. Reviewed on: 5th December 2025

Efficient and friendly service!

We went into the EveshamTesco store to buy a Currency Card and to get Australian, New Zealand and Singapore dollars. It was quite a complicated affair but Zoe, the lady who looked after us, was excellent. She was very efficient and couldn’t have been more helpful. It may not have been the best exchange rate but the convenience and service was excellent. Thank you Zoe. Reviewed on: 30th November 2025

Can't specify denominations

Ordered some US Dollars for home delivery. Asked for a mixture of denominations but was told it was not possible to specify specific notes. Something you need to rectify Tesco. Reviewed on: 5th October 2025

Shocking service

Ordered a considerable amount of US Dollars on Mon 29th Sept 10am to be delivered by Tues 30th 1pm. Waited in. When nothing arrived by 5pm rang and were told our par el had been misrouted. Assured would be delivered Wed 1st October. Waited in. When no delivery by 1pm, rang. No i formation from Royal Mail. We're offered the option of picking up from airport or a store.Requested Tesco try to find out order and deliver it to our house as agreed asap. Still waiting. Very stressful!Will never use Tesco Travel money again. Reviewed on: 1st October 2025

Awful long wait

It was closed when we arrived and don't know why. Waited till 3.30pm for when the sign said it was opening. It didn't open till 20mins after. There were then 15 people queuing to get currency. It took forever, I wouldn't come Tesco whitstable again. Not good at all. Reviewed on: 25th September 2025

All good service but large euro domination notes

All good service, click and collect easy to do online and arrived when said at local store and easy to collect. Problem being that three quarters of the euro notes are in 100 and 50 dominations. £600 stolen by Tesco.

Ordered £600 worth of euros to be delivered. Tesco delivered to the wrong address and even sent a photo of Royal Mail delivering it to an address I have never seen. After constant phone calls 7 WEEKS LATER I have still not had a refund. I now have to start court proceedings to get a refund. Disgusting service. DONT EVER USE TESCO FOREIGN EXCHANGE. Worst service I have experienced in a long time.

Worst service I have experienced in a long time. Firstly I was sent away from the store kiosk because the online order rate was better than the store rate - what nonsense was this. Smacked of a wish to collect more customer data to me. Certainly wasted my limited time. I was disgusted on my return from my trip to find that my unused currency would allow Tesco to make a £65 profit from me! Of the "Why you should buy your currency from Tesco" bullet points on the site, the "buy back promise" - a title which doesn't actually tell you anything, explain anything or make you want to look into the promise - is listed last. A placement on the bottom of that list doesn't lead you to think it is a matter of any importance either. Complete con, the fact is Tesco doesn't want to make a big deal about their buy back deal simply because they would lose too much money on it. In addition, Tesco don't even have complete control of their currency service, it is outsourced to Travelex Agency Services Limited. It took FIVE emails before the penny dropped and Customer Services finally addressed my actual complaint, previous replies simply waffled about customer convenience, how the rates "reflects the cost of sourcing the currency" and "endeavouring to ensure the products and services we provide fulfil our customers' needs and expectations". Big Fat Failure there then. I hope they didn't waste to much time when "After receiving your email we escalated the issues raised to the manager of our Harlow bureau" as she was an especially stroppy and lazy "member" of their staff and if they have any expectations from that quarter I wish them good luck with that. Add the complete ineptitude, unhelpfulness and lack of intelligence of the customer service department - that is if you can even find out how to make an enquiry or how to complain on the website - I'm taking my business elsewhere in future. My experience was at the Baldock Tesco. In store exchange rate is noticeably worse than advertised on line rate. Why? Simple profiteering, because they can, and every little rip off helps their profits. Woman at desk was quite snotty. Generally unpleasant experience altogether. Reviewed on: 26th May 2025
