Relief at the excellent service received from Tesco.

My hearing is very impaired which causes confusion as I am elderly. However Faz who dealt with me with my next year's insurance was brilliant.... My hearing is very impaired which causes confusion as I am elderly. However Faz who dealt with me with my next year's insurance was brilliant. He was very patient and helpful and could not have done more to assist me. Due to my hearing being even more impaired due to a bad cold Faz was amazing, he could so easily have become exasperated but he remained calm and patient. JUST GO TO TOUR OWN BANK AND APPLY FOR A LOAN!! We were accepted by our bank in 2 minutes and the £20k loan was... JUST GO TO TOUR OWN BANK AND APPLY FOR A LOAN!! We were accepted by our bank in 2 minutes and the £20k loan was in the account within 5 minutes. Really bad experience with Tescos. Application took over 2 months to process and when it finally did they asked for additional information which wasn’t a problem, my wife sent over the marriage certificate electronically as we’d just got married as she had to prove the name change. Only for tescos to say we need the real copy and if we didn’t send it over they would cancel our application which they did. Our circumstances may have been different to others but it as dealt with so poorly and with barely any communication. We then went to HSBC who we bank with and got it straight away. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Wouldn’t waste your time or money I was paying £220 a month for insurance on my Range Rover evoque that was... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Wouldn’t waste your time or money I was paying £220 a month for insurance on my Range Rover evoque that was stolen without keys I reported this to Tesco 3 weeks ago now and still haven’t been offered a settlement figure even though the vehicle was found I’ve had phone calls from copart asking if I have the key to the vehicle the same key Tesco have already made me post back to them! No settlement figure yet my cars already in a salvage auction! Leaving me to feel as though Tesco have currently stolen my car and all the money I paid for it! I also payed extra on top of this for a like for like curtesy car at the point of reporting the claim I wasn’t even offered a curtesy car the next day I had to ring Tesco again only to find out they’d not put all the details through so I still couldn’t have a curtesy car I had to argue with Tesco and there curtesy car company for 2 days to have a curtesy car brought out twice they promised me it would be there on that same day and wasn’t and even when I finally managed to get one brought out they told me they was unable to honour the like for like I paid extra for TESCO USE A FRAUD INVESTIGATION TEAM CALLED ROBERTSON & CO THIS COMPANIES ONLINE REVIEWS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES CHECK THE COMPANY ROBERTSON & CO OUT FOR YOURSELF FIRST! Tesco have claimed they can’t do anymore for me until the Robertson and co report comes though this company in question have strung me along for 3 weeks claiming every single day my report will be reviewed regularly being rude to me down the phone or putting the phone down! MY VEHICLE WAS BOUGHT IN CASH AS MANY ARE IVE ALREADY PROVIDED THEM A WRITTEN INVOICE THE SELLER GAVE ME! This money came from me and my partner selling my Audi A1 and his Ford focus WE NEEDED A BIGGER CAR DUE TO BEING A FEW WEEKS OFF HAVING A NEW BABY this company in question are demanding I provide them bank statements for these cash/Facebook marketplace sales clearly this is not possible when they were private cash sales THIS COMPANY ARE MAKING US FEEL AS IF THERE MAIN PURPOSE IS TO PREVENT ANY PAY OUT FOR THE THEFT OF OUR VEHICLE TESCO HAD ALREADY TRIED TO FORCE ME TO TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK THE SAME WEEK IT WAS STOLEN! SO IS THIS JUST ANOTHER WAY FOR THEM TO AVOID PAYING YOU OUT! Me and my partner both have severe mental health issues and these have massively deteriorated since this incident and claim we also have two children one of them being severely autistic my poor daughter was petrified of having that car back after knowing someone had stolen it she felt unsafe and in danger she also needs structure with her being autistic the lack of curtesy car prevented her from being able to attend school our baby was also due jabs at the doctors Tesco did not care one bit about this WE HAVE NOW BEEN FORCED AND LEFT WITH NO OTHER OPTION BUT TO ASK TO CANCEL THE CLAIM AND HAVE OUR VEHICLE BACK BECAUSE BOTH COMPANIES HAVE NO INTEREST IN DEALING WITH US APPROPRIATELY OR OFFERING US A SETTLEMENT THE AMOUNT OF PAIN WORRY AND STRESS THESE COMPANIES HAVE CAUSED ARE GENUINELY NOT WORTH IT PLEASE AVOID SAVE YOURSELF ANY HASSLE Read more Read less

    Had Tesco home insurance. Renewal came through by email whilst I was in holiday so didn’t get round to renewing it until the day it... Had Tesco home insurance. Renewal came through by email whilst I was in holiday so didn’t get round to renewing it until the day it expires. Rang up as I hadn’t been able to get onto their website, to be told it had finished at midday that day & I couldn’t renew it. I was told I would have to start again as a new customer. The advisor then gave me a quote that was double the one I had had for the renewal! Wouldn’t budge at all so I went elsewhere for my insurance. Read more Read less

    Don't do it!

    Don't do it! I chose them as best value for money when looking at different providers in August 2024. Then a tree came down in... Don't do it! I chose them as best value for money when looking at different providers in August 2024. Then a tree came down in Storm Darrah yesterday, it fell on the car in my driveway. No-one was in the car. Luckily it didn't have full weight of the tree on the car as a wall was in the way, but there are dents in the roof and on the bonnet. Purely cosmetic - I can drive it to the garage, all the doors open fine. I filled in the claim form online, and took over an hour, and on the last page received instant notice that it's my fault, a total loss and I don't get a courtesy car. The car is perfectly fine. But a form tells me that it's a total loss? No ones come to assess it? This is criminal -You can't provide a service and assess something as written off if it's in your best interest and are financially motivated to do so. I assume you've done this because prices to fix cosmetic damage with the garage have gone up because of inflation. Its outrageous! The car cost me 10,000 last year second hand, this year it will be the same to re-buy, but I'll be lucky to get 3,000 from Tesco, just because it costs around that to get it fixed. I've now been on hold for 22 minutes trying to get an explanation... Just spoken to a woman who said will take 2 weeks to get an engineer out and not entitled to courtesy car while we wait for Tesco to assess the damage only if its in repair. Apparently that was an optional extra to pick when I signed up but I'm the stupid woman who didn't pick it. In summary: When a storm hits the UK, and a tree falls on your car while its parked on your driveway, it's your fault, and if your so lucky that it only scratches and dents the roof, it's a total loss, and good luck buying a car with the scraps they want to pay you.     Told could pick up money at 3pm. Joke !

    Told could pick up money at 3pm. Arrived at 3pm, notice on booth - back at 3.20pm. Waited and waited, Tesco manager tried to find... Told could pick up money at 3pm. Arrived at 3pm, notice on booth - back at 3.20pm. Waited and waited, Tesco manager tried to find the staff member but nowhere to be seen. She finally arrived at 3.40. If pick up is 3pm there should be staff working at 3pm. Won’t order from Tesco again. Read more Read less
