Automatic renewal Rip Off!

I have just received my automatic renewal notice from Tesco Insurance (31/03/2025) for the next 12months and they are “demanding” a 48% (!) increase in... I have just received my automatic renewal notice from Tesco Insurance (31/03/2025) for the next 12months and they are “demanding” a 48% (!) increase in my premium. I have been insured with them for the past four years, always paying my annual premium in full up front and have not made any home insurance claims for well over ten years. No doubt if I am prepared to spend a lot of time contacting one of their representatives and negotiating with them they will offer me a better price, as has happened on every previous renewal ! I have already received comparable home insurance quotes from the various online comparison sites and have been offered prices which are 50% lower than Tesco’s renewal price. am incredibly disappointed with Tesco Travel Insurance. I was misinformed by their representatives, who assured me that I would be covered for a damaged passport,... am incredibly disappointed with Tesco Travel Insurance. I was misinformed by their representatives, who assured me that I would be covered for a damaged passport, only for my claim to be denied. As a result, I missed my flight and suffered additional issues, including a damaged phone, which was also not covered. The lack of transparency and the incorrect information provided by the customer service team has caused me significant stress and financial loss. I trusted Tesco to provide the support I needed during a difficult time, but they failed to deliver. I would strongly advise against using their services, as their insurance coverage seems unreliable and their customer service completely unhelpful. Read more Read less

    Used a Tesco Voucher to book a hotel through Hotel.com. Due to a technical issue with Hotel.com I was overcharged. Hotel.com didnt want to know...     Stay well well clear from this absolutely terrible insurance company! Had non fault accident 7 months ago, to this very day my vehicle is still... Had non fault accident 7 months ago, to this very day my vehicle is still damaged, they have left me with no hire vehicle and the company they use FMG services will give you false and mis-leading information til you loose the plot and give up. My vehicle has been sat at garage since last year xmas, i am now in process of selling it damaged and taking a huge loss. I have complaint to TESCO and FMG with no avail., i pay over £500 a month for this insurance have now canceled it, will never ever use TESCO again and will never recommend to any1. I have voice recordings of call handlers being argumentative and telling lies after lies. Quite possibly the worst experience i have ever had with a company.     Do not recommend

Phoned the helpline to cancel and they had the cheek to want to charge me a £10 cancellation fee, hence they didn't after I argued successfully.
