Revolut is an e-money institution which means you can take out an everyday account to manage your money in a range of ways.

You can send, spend, receive and hold a range of currencies. Customers get a physical debit card for everyday spending, a virtual card and a single-use virtual card that resets its details each time you use it.

I've used Revolut for years. It's such a convenient way to convert money whenever you are. Makes splitting bills with friends very easy and fast too. Can't wait for the Wealth section of the app to be opened up for the public. Would love to have a web interface for us non-business users too. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2019

Revolut offers something that no-one else does. It offers a totally digital online account, quick and easy to create, along with a debit card that is posted to you the next working day. With the Revolut account, you can have money in 23 different currencies and/or just exchange your money to another currency with the interbank rate - no charges/no commissions payable. Also, you can withdraw money anywhere in the world without charges up to a specific amount. All those with a FREE account. The best of the best. Helped me save THOUSANDS on my study fees while at UNI for my MSc. Highly recommended! Reviewed on: 21st January 2019

Arbitrary suspension of account - no access to funds

Revolut have without warning suspended my account for 4 days while they verify information. They do not respond to support requests. They blocked me on twitter and they provide no ability to access my funds. Reviewed on: 18th January 2019

Revolut and companies similar to it are going to be the cause for the extinction of traditional banking. Revolut, like other fin techs, are the smartphones - similar to the original creation of the iPhone - that will make retail banking and current banking fees obsolete. Revolut is one step ahead of the curve. However, despite them being a considerably young company there are certain aspects of their services that they need to focus on equally as they strive for expansion. For example, their customer service or rather lack-of. RITA is just not good enough. In addition, distribution of their physical cards. With their high increase of users they attain each month they need to equally produce and distribute the physical cards. Account making is so simple and a huge cause for the current success, however, their poor manufacturing and distribution of the physical cards is indefinitely holding them back. This can be best seen in users that choose to upgrade to their premium services. Since they chose to pay the monthly fees for the extras in the account they should not be placed on a "waitlist" for receiving their respective premium physical cards best exemplified in their "Metal" card. Nonetheless, their company is at the forefront of innovation and groundbreaking economic banking revolution.
