Do Not Use!

Do not use them. If you need to call to resolve a problem they have created expect to wait on hold for 35 - 65 minutes. They have lost £2900 of my money, after a bodged balance transfer, missing since 05/6/18 and they refuse to do anything about it. Interest is accruing and they don't care. Total lack of compasion and failure to supply as per T&C's of policy

I have been driving for 35 years, and have never been treated and dismissed as someone who knows nothing and treated like a fool and totally disrespected. Do not take out insurance my experience is car insurance with Sainsbury's Bank they sell you additional item such as courtesy car to ensure you receive the equivalent car as your but they take 3 days and many phone calls in which they continue to fob you off with anything but the equivalent to your car in regard to boot carrying space and seats. You make a complaint and to be told your complaint cant be upheld as they have done all they said they would but they haven't. they even lie about what cars are available to ensure they don't have to pay for the equivalent car to yours. My opinion is to stay well clear from such a shabby insurance organisation. Reviewed on: 27th July 2018

Long process and high rates

I found it a longer process... Had to wait for paperwork in oost which told me rates. Rates were much higher than advertised. When i phoned they couldnt really explain why. I went with Zopa, a much more streamlimed service and much better rates. Reviewed on: 1st July 2017

Crazy made up prices

Year one was a fair price but when the renewal came through the price was doubled even though I gained an extra years ncb. I spoke to a manager to find out if they could give me a realistic price and all I got back was that's the best we can do for you. Loyalty certainly is not rewarded. Reviewed on: 29th June 2017

Denied liability on first ever claim having been with them for years

We had an engine fire. Sainsbury's have denied liability. The policy terms don't justify this but they have not really engaged with my complaints about their errors. I am now going to the Financial Services Ombudsman. Awful hassle. Avoid. Reviewed on: 13th September 2016
