Shocking - trying to speak to customer service renewal

On Saturday tried to ring Sainsburys Insurance - had to go through all steps to get to right person only to be told -we are closed. This morning I waited 20 minutes before being cut off, still waiting for someone to answer now - AND THIS IS THEIR RENEWALS LINE. What a joke Reviewed on: 5th October 2020

Impossible to change car insurance

Before picking up new car tried to change details on line,when it came to pay it timed out,tried numerous times no joy. Phoned to be told it was closed even though it stated they were open,ended up purchasing temporary insurance, what a joke of a company. Reviewed on: 3rd October 2020

This company is beyond useless. Customer service is a joke. 50 minutes wait to speak to someone People you speak to are rude and unhelpful. I cancelled my policy a month before it expired and as I cancelled before the end I have to pay £80 and they refused to send me proof of my 8 years no claims. Will never be using them again. Absolutely shocking. The insurance app can't handle someone having 2 policies. Trying to make changes to my car insurance which they will only let you do online, but the policy isn't there. Call centre was useless. 2 hours on hold. Get your insurance elsewhere. They know their app is sh1t. Reviewed on: 13th August 2020

Badly run, customer unfriendly, utterly useless and shows how little Sainsbury cares about its brand

To get a windscreen replaced, you find Sainsbury is just a broker and the real insurer is Liverpool Victoria. You ave to call and wait on the line to three different people before you end up with National Windscreens an extraordinarily inefficient enterprise which does not care about you because you are not a customer of theirs. After 5 hours nothing is yet fixed. Dont use these people. I am going to stop shopping at Sainsbury too. Reviewed on: 29th July 2020

Disgusting attitude - lost a customer

Reasonable price for taking the policy a year ago. Have always paid car insurance monthly and deal was appealing for the double nectar points as do most of food and fuel shopping there. Renewal comes through 40% higher even though no claims... and to rub it in they told me that I possibly couldn’t afford to pay the extra £10 a month for the premium so they could only offer a lump sum payment option to me?! How condescending - I could quite easily afford to pay the price upfront but I shopped around and got a better deal with my bank (Lloyds) - they quoted literally pennies more than my current policy and loads of other extras included. When I rang Sainsbury’s to cancel, they didn’t ask why. Didn’t offer to haggle on a quote. They just told me they’d send proof of NCD in the post. I made a comment that I got a good quote with Lloyds and the person on the phone couldn’t have cared less. I get the impression they have a group of people they don’t want anymore and I’m one of them. Policy cancelled. New insurance set up. Plus once my double points offer finishes on 9th June I will not spend another penny with them. I’ll do my shopping elsewhere. They clearly don’t want my custom. Reviewed on: 21st May 2020

Shocking experience

My experience with this car insurance policy was shocking, Sainsburys are not your insurer, 3 other companies are. None of them knew what my full policy contained. Talked down to and told it was not in my policy. Reviewed on: 2nd March 2020
