Triodos only lends to environmentally and/socially valuable organisations

I first invested in Triodos when it was a v.small lending bank called Mercury, back in the 1980s. They ran a very innovative way of lending: a borrowing community. since then they have gone on to extend their work hugely. I actually resented the takeover at first but soon came round, realising that Triodos really did what they said on the tin. I have been delighted by their approach and feel PART of a Community trying to make the world a fairer and better place Reviewed on: 25th January 2022

Triodos has not only excellent customer service - having an account with Triodos doesn't give me pangs of conscience because I know that they'll use my money for ethical investments, and care about people and the environment.
