DO NOT TOUCH THIS BANK - £85K VAPORISED - NO ONE AT TSB KNOWS WHERE TO!!

DO NOT TOUCH THIS BANK - £85,000 vaporised and no one at the Bank knows where it has gone My 1 year fixed bond with TSB ended on 15th November. I contacted them by telephone the week before and was told the amount would transfer to a standard account and I would able to transfer the funds from there into any account I wished. On 16th November I logged in to do this and found that I could not. Called again and was told that to withdraw the funds I either needed to have a current account with TSB or they could send a cheque!! A cheque in 2023! Opened a current account in order to get my money out faster. Current account successful, but was unable to be linked to my existing ID so useless. Called again and 2.5 hours later was told that in this instance they would transfer my funds using faster payments method to my current account with Lloyds Bank. No transfer took place. Called today and despite being on the phone for 1.5 hours no one could tell me where my £85,000 has gone. Due to this I have missed the window of deposit into a high rate bond because the TSB have lost my money. BE WARNED - they are very happy to take your money but reluctant to release it when your bond matures. Reviewed on: 20th November 2023

Not easy to open up when it states "online"

I have an existing savings account with Incesrec Bank, they're closing this account service down. So I identified TSB bond fixed 1 year was my best option to move funds. I have 5 UK bank accounts, lived at my address for over 20 years. TSB declined the opening before I present ID. Go into a branch they say. So my nearest branch 12 miles away has been SHUT down. Or I can send copies, verified by a solicitor or accountant (which will cost me minimum £50) Go away TSB! The rate might be great but the process is shocking! Investec, Santander, Lloyds, Nationwide I can do all on line & upload my ID. Drag yourselves into the 21st century. Rant over!! Reviewed on: 18th November 2022
