Fraudsters & Liars

1
Fraudsters and Liars - Conmen As long as there are no issues, they are fine. Any fraud on your card, and they behave like gangsters. Never reply to emails, force you to pay and break every law connected to consumer credit. I reported fraud after transactions appeared 3000 miles from where I was with the card. They claim I made the transactions (all physical) - which would have required me to be in 2 different countries and three different locations at one time or required me to have 3 different cards on my account. This included transactions that took the account 100% above its limit and should never have been authorised. Then they wrote to me saying that despite never having missed a payment, and having paid the balance in full every month for over 2 years that they didn't believe I would pay my balance so were closing my account. It would be reported as a default if I didn't pay the fraudulent transactions. Now having to pay because I can't afford to risk my credit rating. Reviewed on: 19th November 2022

118 Money Ruined my perfect credit file

1
Took out a card with a £1200 credit limit just to use as a holiday buffer. During Covid I applied to them for a payment holiday. This was accepted and they notified me in writing. Some months later I searched my credit file and 118 Money had put me in DEFAULT for not paying my credit card. I checked my paperwork and then contacted them. They sent me an email which formerly apologised then offered me £150 in compensation. They told me they would remove the mark from my credit history, and I stupidly trusted them to do so. I recently applied for a remortgage due to the spiraling interest rates. Santander declined stating I had a default! I checked and sure enough 118 Money HAD NOT REMOVED THE DEFAULT from my credit file. This time they offered me another £150 and a written apology. I am not accepting this and I will take them to the local court, as I have paid thousands extra now due to my mortgage rate increase, which I would have been able to deal with had I remortgaged earlier. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL RUIN YOUR CREDIT FILE AND THEN DO NOTHING TO REPAIR IT. Reviewed on: 31st October 2022
