Acorn insurance having cancelled my policy on line for a much cheaper car insurance by half the amount took money from my account. When I chased it up they claimed that the policy want cancelled on line which it was with ironic proof of my new policy evidenced they ignored the information presented. They charged me approximately £459.00 for the privilege and I had to pay off £40 per month. This was back in October 2024. It gets better I have to ring up each time to pay the instalment on my to be told last week that I doubt need to pay anymore as the balance is now £0.00! Something is not correct here so I am pursuing the complaint but reputation wise this is incredibly poor as I have not received anything in writing to confirm why the apparent sum owed was written off. MY NEPHEW WHO SUFFER FROM SEVER ANIEXTY AND HAD PREVIOUS MENTAL HEALTH ISSUE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHICH HE REPORTED AND DIDNT WANT TO CLAIM. TO HIS SUPRISE HE RECIEVED A LETTER FROM ACORN INSURANCE WHO ARE PART OF HEAVEN INSURANCE ADVISING HIM THAT HIS INSURANCE POLICY WAS CANCELLED DUE TO A ENFORCED INSURER DECISION AND ALSO ASKED HIM TO PAY £2100.00 FOR THE REMAINDER AMOUNT OF INSURANCE. HE CALLED THEM TO FIND OUT BUT NO ONE WAS GIVING AN ANSWER AND KEPT TRANSFERRING HIM TO OTHER DEPARTMENTS! HE THEN HAS COME TO ME, REALLY UPSET AND ANXIOUS HAS HE HAD DAMAGED CAR AND ALSO THE FACT HIS A YOUNG DRIVER AND HEAVEN HAVE CANCELLED HIS POLICY. TO WHERE BEGUN TO WORRY ABOUT HIS WELFARE. I CALLED ACORN INSURANCE WHO I SPOKE TO AN ADVISOR CALLED JACOB WHICH HE TOLD ME THAT THE INSURANCE WAS CANCELLED BECUSE HE DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT COVER AS HE HAD AN ACCIDENT AT WORK. WHICH I QUICKLY INTEJECTED AND ADVISED THAT THIS IS INCORRECT AS HE WORKS FROM HOME AND THE DAY HE HAD THE ACCIDENT HE HAD SOCIAL GATHERING WITH HIS WORK COLLEGUES AND WHEN HAS FINISHED FROM THE EVENT HE HAS UNFORTUNATELY HAD AN ACCIDENT WHICH HE ACCEPTS. I WAS TOLD BY JACOB THAT HE IS GOING INVESTIAGTE THIS AND ALSO HAD RAISED A COMPLAINT ON OUR BEHALF AND ALSO PROMISED A CALL BACK FROM THE MANAGEMENT TEAM. LOW AND BEHOLD ITS BEEN 3 DAYS AND I HAVE NOT HERD ANYTHING I KEEP CALLING THERE LINES AND THERE EXTREMLY BUSY AND DONT ANSWER THERE CALLS! THIS IS DISGUSTING AS MY NEPHEW IS VUNERBALE. I BELIEVE AS TP MADE A CLAIM HEAVEN CANCELLED HIS POLICY AND TRIED TO MANIPULATED A VUNERABLE CUSTOMER BY CANCELLING THE INSURANCE AND HAVE THE CHEEK TO ASK HIM TO PAY FOR FULL YEAR!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! ONE OF THE INSURANCE COMPANIES IVE DEALT WITH AND LOOKING AT THE REVIEWS FEEL LIKE THEY TO THIS TO EVERYONE! This company, in one word, is unprofessional and does not deal with understanding and diplomacy. They added £25 extra because I was late in payment because my bank was frozen. I gave a reasonable explanation, but they only want money. I do not recommend Reviewed on: 13th January 2024

DON'T use this company IMO as they will look for any excuse in the book not to cover you in the event of an emergency. We had an issue with our oil boiler and when we needed help they told us, "sorry we don't cover oil boilers" and gave us 101 excuses not to help. They will take your money but in our experience look for ANY reason not to assist. Reviewed on: 8th January 2024

5 months after the non fault claim, no settlement yet as they lied to me that I choose to not to claim under my comprehensive policy, ( I mean what a lie ) what would I do that for. I recorded all the calls so reported this to regulater authorities now. All they are interested are in making money through supplied Hire vehicle, the longer you have it, more money they will make from it on non fault claim. Several calls, emails but always misleading you purposely. ACORN PROPER CON ARTISTS WHICH SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. I will not take this lightly so rasied the matter with relevant authorities, I am having my legal body involved in the matter now because they should be banned from Scaming people off. collected car for glass repair after attempted theft - sold it for profit with its entire content, did not communicate that this had happened and pretended car was being repaired. !!!! I have just found out that this company has been taken to the Supreme Court of appeals before!!!!! !!! They are also now on their 3rd trading name !!!!! Disgusting company to deal with. If I could give you a negative star rating I would. They lie constantly and don’t even bother investigating properly. If you complain they ignore you. They ignore all evidence, if your insurance uses them, change companies because they are awful! They also palm off as much of their work as possible kindertons and other third party companies. They are complaint scammers. They wrote my car off when it didn’t need to be. They then took the courtesy car off me. Several advisers told me it was completely non fault and even told me they’d sent someone to investigate it. Then they changed their mind and told me I was completely at fault and then they hung up on me when I asked to take it further. I’m taking you to court and the financial ombudsman. Do not get your insurance here. They will run rings around you. Incompetent, slow service for the simplest of issues. I have dealt with three different staff members and two weeks later still have not resolved a problem. Shop elsewhere!!! Reviewed on: 11th September 2023

Careless and no coperative at all

I bought comprehensive insurance and My van been stolen about 3 weeks before and there validation not been ending and never tell me the name of person handling my case and they didn't provide coutesy van as it mentioned clearly in their insurance its their job to provide coutesy van on first hand.
