No Paper Certificates / Statements

Having saved a significant sum of money with Atom I'm more than a little concerned that I have no independent proof that I deposited a penny with them. No certificate (paper or PDF), no confirmation e-mail, nothing. If there was a hiccup at Atom and the app displayed an 'unknown user error' I'm not sure if I could prove otherwise. When I mentioned my concerns to them I was told to take a screenshot of my savings summary - as if that would prove anything. Recently the Android app started crashing. Dreadful tech

Worst app I've ever come across. A few weeks ago the app update wiped out all my login credentials, meaning I had to call for invitation code and reset all my biometric credentials - now, just 3 weeks later, the app is totally unresponsive following the latest iOS update meaning I had to again call the call centre, get a code, delete the app, re-enter (again) my credentials - the comment about "maybe it's difficult for the intellectually stunted" is ridiculous - this morning's experience merely showed me an error screen with no menu or login options at all. Total, utter shambles from a start-up that boasted about not being trapped by legacy systems like the dinosaur banks... Reviewed on: 28th September 2016

Opened my Fixed Saver 2 days ago -a brilliant fun app - might be a little challenging for the intellectually stunted but the whole experience has been refreshing. Not one problem so far, if you need to speak to a human they are there 24/7 and speak common sense. Can't praise them enough so far. Reviewed on: 21st September 2016

Very poor service

If this is their new style of banking they can keep it, total shamble and a waste of my time. Applied for fixed rate savings account, after a few days I contacted them to be told it was not available at the time of register. This was not the case. Reviewed on: 20th September 2016

Easy peesey and 2% interest

Must be the best product on the market. 2% for a one year fixed saver with a £100k cap. I've already dumped Santander who slashed interest on their 1-2-3 from 3% to 1.5% with a £20k cap plus £5 per month charge for the privilege. ok Santander was instant access put 1 year isn't a big tie in. The app is great and my first months interest has already been paid. Reviewed on: 12th September 2016

Excellent

Signed up, waited for my code to open account. Emailed to find when I can expect code. Email replied to within 1 hour. When my code came through followed the steps on the App and job done. Easy. Reviewed on: 7th September 2016

A non-starter

I applied for codes for myself and my husband. Having received both codes, we proceeded to try to open accounts. We both received an on-screen message that we were unable to open accounts. We each have multiple bank and savings accounts. I rang the company and was told it may be something wrong with the software and I might be more successful when it is updated and better able to speak to other banks. Sorry, but I don't think I want repeated searches from one bank showing on my credit history. Reviewed on: 10th August 2016

Hmmm, I waited for this?

So after registering god knows how long ago I finally get a code. I download the app... I copy the code from my email which gives me problem number 1.... there's no way to 'paste' it into the app. Why not? Isn't the point of this new bank to be different, be up to date, be slick, be easy, be a good experience you'll want to repeat and tell your friends and family about. Anyway, a bad start but....... It soon got worse!! Not only can I not paste the code in, but once I manually add it I'm presented with a picture of 'Jon' (head of Security) with a message that the code doesn't work. I double and triple check the code and go through this 3 times. Then I think, ok, the code is in capitals in the email but maybe it actually needs lowercase letters - no. I'm now a hugely frustrated ex-potential customer. You can keep your new bank and your app. I'll happily give other new banks the same crack of the whip. Maybe the guys at Atom should look at the experience Revolut provides once you download their app. Reviewed on: 22nd July 2016

Dismal

Having waited months for code got an account, later discovered that they have a limit of 10k per customer so having sent more I am still waiting for the money to be returned after eight days. Appears to be all marketing hype and not enough substance. Reviewed on: 14th July 2016

Customer service is none existent.

Applied for a fixed saver account. Got confirmation back saying they wound be in touch. Never heard nothing back despite numerous attempts using the silly APP that never takes you anywhere. It seems Atom Bank is just "another bank", dressed up in different clothes but still the same attitude as all the rest! Reviewed on: 10th July 2016
