Speedy Diagnostic that excludes diagnostic

So, you buy this insurance thinking that you pay a little extra to avoid long waiting lists in this pandemic in case you need diagnostics whether anything is wrong - it's in the name - Speedy diagnostic, skip queues etc. But once you need diagnosing (ultrasound is means to diagnose something afaik), then it isn't included, so essentially you have to join NHS queues to have it done. Of course they say it's in the term and condition however I failed to find where. Complete and utter waste of money! Reviewed on: 10th August 2020

Rip off on child's health insurance premiums.

I bought health insurance policy for my kid when he was not even 2 y.o. - I was an older mother, he started having bad colds when starting nursery - so I bought for the peace of mind. 5 years on, not a single claim - the premium is up almost twice. I tried to talk to them about it last year, wondering what happened to "no claim bonus" - no result, the agent was absolutely dreadful. Avoid this company, try something different for the sake of your money, or just set money aside as your emergency fund. Reviewed on: 5th August 2020

Pointless

We took this out for entire family. Every time we wanted to go private they had a reason why we couldn’t, even though when we bought the policy they were reassuring us it would be used for anything other than pre existing conditions. It was such hard work getting any treatment/ appointments through them it was easier just to wait for nHs appointments Reviewed on: 15th July 2020

Disappointed

from initial contact to claim to the decision took over 3 weeks. They declined my claim despite never having my current complaint before. This company is not a company to do business with. I have today cancelled my account with them. To make matters worse this was my first claim. Dont be fooled by what they tell you to get your money. Stay well clear. You have been warned. Avoid at all costs

10 years a customer, never claimed once, pay over 100 monthly. During pandemic i call only to be told I cannot see a GP. Soon after i want to cancel then they start dragging their feet until i become confrontational. There are some experiences we shouldn't go through in life, this is one expensive experience. Don't waste your time or money

I paid up to this service through my company healthcare. It has been the case of endless calls and emails; endless assurances that they will set up my account. Beyond being frustrating, Aviva have proven themselves incompetent and incapable of even setting up customers who have paid for the service. Right now, over a month has passed by and I have no access to this 'benefit'. I've used other private health providers for most of my adult life. Aviva is by far the WORST. Avoid at all costs. Had a policy through my business for 3 years, one claim, one refusal, arrogant staff when I explained that I wanted to cancel my policy, I was greeted with a smug laugh, now saddled with a £5000 bill!! Reviewed on: 9th April 2020

Clowns or thieves?

As quite a few others here, after many years of paying my fees and never claiming, I found myself in need of a doctor consultation online and I tried to obtain one through their promised online doctor appointment service. The first obstacle, you have to do it through their app: this turns out to be cumbersome, unfriendly, unnecessarily complicated, obtuse and over demanding. I am not sure if this app has been designed with an intent of taking the mickey or just by a bunch of unqualified ignorant but arrogant dunces. Never mind, however, once you have done all you had to do, including finding an access code which should be in your policy but isn't, you find that it does not work. It just doesn't. There is a number for support but it does not answer except with a message that they don't take calls because of the current situation. Thanks a bunch, you thieves. Shame on you Aviva, I spent so many thousands with you over the years and this is what I get the first time I need you. Shame. Reviewed on: 6th April 2020

Ripp off merchants

The GP app does not work in spite of repeated emails. Resources given to NHS England due to pandemic which is fine with me. However these ripp off bastards expect me to pay my regular premiums and NOT ABLE TO ACCESS ANY BENEFITS !!!! Reviewed on: 29th March 2020
